There will definitely be a single.  There is always a single.  I have no idea why anyone would say otherwise.

Until there's not a single.

GOD WAR BACKWARDS LOL

It was on the God of War soundtrack, that title is intentional...

Well, I just don't get why that comment was made.

Neither do I, but my hypothesis is that that meme had to be used somewhere

Loosen up.  That's what makes this site great.  We are all just as serious about DT but we all need a little levity.

Captain Obvious out!

Yes, it was, and when creating the single edit, MP not only edited it for time, but also to remove the more obvious album spoilers.

That song was cut too far down IMO.  It could have at least more intro in it, and made a minute longer.

When we start going all over Raw Dog, it can only mean we're running out of things to discuss/we're going extremely impatient.

My version of Raw Dog abruptly cuts off at the end..

Most people's versions do, because they all change the song before it finishes. :neverusethis:

Raw Dog was trying to be Ytsejam (hidden backwards meaning) and Pull Me Under at the same time. Oh, how it failed.

title and abruptly cutting =/= trying to be either of those songs

its a side song made for a video game. people take it too seriously

I like it very very much. Actually I think I love it.

The fact that we're talking about fuckin Raw Dog on the DT12 thread really shows how bored we are without a tracklist...

I mean it's  not top 50 but it's not gut horrible

darkshade

Yea, I can stand Raw Dog every once in a while, usually when I feel like just listening to DT's B-sides.

GasparXR

I actually do enjoy Raw Dog. There's only one part I don't like is the last 3 minutes or so. The middle section of the song is pretty awesome though.

Honestly, it reminds me of The Ytse Jam, but more heavy and modern-sounding.

Mosh

It's pretty unremarkable. Not bad, but to me it's nothing more than a song from a video game. I barely count it as a DT song. It's probably something they jammed out over a few nights at sound check. If it was on an actual album, I would definitely understand the hate, but considering its circumstances, its pretty much what I would expect.

The Letter M

It still amazes me that people still think that "Raw Dog" was actually IN the video game. It's not IN the game, or FROM the game. the soundtrack that Roadrunner records put together.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/God_of_War:_Blood_%26_Metal#God_of_War:_Blood_.26_Metal

QuoteThe God of War: Blood & Metal EP is a heavy metal homage by various bands on the Roadrunner Records label, and features original music inspired by the God of War video game series.

So it's only relation to the game is that it was released as an HOMAGE to it, not even really relating to the games' actual musical score, it's content or even story line (so far as I know).

-Marc.

Mosh

Well, when I see it on a God Of War album thing, not being someone who plays God of War, I can only assume that it's from the game. It's not like they make it obvious that it isn't in the game, quite the opposite in fact.

TheGreatPretender

I enjoy it, but it's far far far from being Ytsejam or Pull Me Under.

Who said they actually thought it was IN the game? Above your post, I mean.

Bolsters

I don't mind how Raw Dog starts, but it doesn't have lasting potential most of the time for me. I get bored quickly and usually skip it after the first couple of minutes.

God of War's soundtrack consists of the most epic of orchestral music. No rock music.

Raw Dog (War God, come on people) is OK, but I never feel like listening to it. The fast middle section is the best part.
