Can I remind everyone of the rules. If you discusss a DT leak, or even hint that one exists, you will be banned. So I suggest you simply stop talking about it now and make things easier for everyone.

Quick question: Does that rule only apply to DT leaks? Or all music leaks in general??

Broadly it applies to all leaks, certainly when it comes to linking or hinting at where a leak could be found. But with DT we take a firmer line, as this is DTF, so even discussion of the music itself is not allowed until the album is released.

Obviously that doesn't include discussion of any samples/snippets/singles that are officially released.

Not completely confident that it is, but it's pretty likely.

No one kill me for believing in the possibility that there might be a small chance that perhaps Dream Theater might announce the possibility of maybe releasing a date as to when a single comes out

But MUCH more likely we hear the tracklist, after all, Impermanent Resonance's tracklist came out a couple of days ago.

I remember the fake leak, obviously. I never saw anything about MP allegedly being the perpetrator though, either then or since. Happy to be proven wrong if you have a link to any evidence though!

I don't have a "citation" but I remember reading an interview where he confessed to it.

I don't have time to search for a citation.  But I remember it.

Now watch me be proved wrong.  All my memories will be LIES!

I certainly remember people saying Mike Portnoy leaked it, but... I've never been sure if it's something that actually happened, or a rumour that got out of hand. I remember hearing it, but I don't remember hearing that it was true. I'm sure he must've posted something on his message board, if it is. I might look there. But! Later.

To me, DT12 will be an attempt to recreate some kind of SFAM-SDOIT atmosphere.

I never had a higher expectation for a DT album than I have for this one.

If you or anyone else does find a post from MP, or a news article or something, then do post it as I'd be interested to see. For now I'll keep it in the "rumour" category, personally.

And yeah, it would be great if there's a DT announcement today, but RR have a LOT of bands, so it may well not.

I kind of doubt that a single song video would end up being an "announcement". Nothing else came with the video. Roadrunner did post the video on their facebook, but this song isn't even new. (the album was released in April.)

So I don't think that was the announcement.
