I hope it's not an app. I noted Jordan said "I", not "we".

Yeah I noticed that too. I'm expecting something more Jordan-related to be announced, not something DT releated.

From Richard Chycki:

QuoteIn my Dropbox, an amazing ragtime piano piece to enjoy from the super-talented @jcrudess

TheGreatPretender

Does that mean it's gonna be on the album? Or is JR just sending it to Chycki to entertain him?

wasteland

Wait, he tells us the details and the doesn't let us hear it? :dangerwillrobinson:

That's the point - apparently he thinks we aren't waiting for the album anxiously enough :-\

WE'RE NOT

?

As if the wait for the DVD wasn't wrecking our nerves enough... :(

Knguro

Obviously is a JR related stuff, he said they are taking a break from the studio, so, we can put DT (new album, DVD) aside for a moment, then, he said "I" and "I will see you... Then", therefore, it has to be something related with his own stuff, either music project, or app. IMHO

fadetoblackdude7

He's probably going to announce a special tour or a one-off special show with someone else......something along those lines.

Why am I thinking of Steven Wilson now.

wasteland

I don't think it's possible. SW looks rather busy with the Raven Tour, and the keyboard player looks rather stable for that job. But hey, it could be just anything.

Kevin Moore is going to play with Steven Wilson? Now I'm all mixed up

Shadow Ninja 2.0

Dry until I hit the swimming pool....

Cedar redaC

A special show of all three Dream Theater keyboard players doing their solo work (and then a jam on Metropolis, of course.)

I know, right? :dangerwillrobinson:
Look at all us freaks cluttering your city streets
Still scalping their ticket-less applause
Spun monkeys on the railroad track, take me to the caine field; I walk along pick my spiderbite

"Will the Live At Luna Park album feature all songs from both nights, including the ones you played twice?"

wasteland

Well, nothing new here, but it's cool to see that the Luna Park DVD at least hasn't been tabooed

Anyone else notice he says "album" and not DVD? :omg:  Hope that's why they're taking their sweet time releasing it. CD/DVD would take a lot longer to produce.

I'm pretty sure it has been known for a while that there will be a CD version.

KevShmev

Just as long as the option is available to buy just the DVDs or Blu-Rays.  I hate when artists release a live set and you can only buy it as a big lump set (meaning, you have to get both the CDs and DVDs, for example).  Yes, Neal Morse, I am looking at you.

I know I'll never ever play the CDs myself. I just don;t.

KevShmev

Exactly.  And so it's bull shit to charge more and force fans who only want the live DVDs/Blu-Rays to buy the CDs, too.

I just want the Bluray.

This.

I hate to sound greedy, but as far as I'm concerned, buying the video version should give us the right to an audio version without added costs. At least no the kind of ridiculous costs we're paying. I mean, you already have access to this music, you can already put the DVD/Blu-Ray in, and listen to the music, WITH visuals. So why do you need to pay like $15 - $20 extra just to be able to hear the audio only version of the exact same music? I don't know, I personally think it's a bit of a ripoff.

I would say the cost of manufacturing the CD, but we all know how ridiculously cheap that is. If anything, at least a digital download of the audio should be included.

ZirconBlue

I'm gonna get both, anyway, so it's usually cheaper for me if it's a combined set, rather than 2 separate things.
