I said I could read it. Never said I can understand it  :lol I have no clue what you just said except the last word which is "Atah" and means "you". Also, being that I don't know the words I'm reading, I still need the vowels :P

I just google-translated it. Los Angeles  :lol sorry to dissapoint

SystematicThought

Wow, I guess I wasn't really far off with what I jokingly said (it sounded like something George Bush would say). I got the gist of it

So earlier, I saw that JLBs new solo record has a full track list and his tour dates are up... on DTs FB page. So frustrating. I think solo JLB needs his own FB page for that shit... I saw on DTs page: NEW ANNOUNCEMENT: and I went  :omg:  :metal Then I saw it was just JLB and went  :censored :censored :censored. That's not to say I'm not interested or don't care about JLBs solo stuff, but I just want my dream theater...  >:(

I'm  :chill now. Sorry.

Pretty sure. I don't know the difference between hiragana, katakana, or kanji myself, but they're distinct enough from each other that there definitely seems to be something up. Unless you really can switch between them at will. I dunno, Genowyn would know better than me.

Hiragana, katakana, and kanji are all used together. フトダウン is katakana, and 割引の適用に is a mixture of hiragana and kanji.

Okay, I'm  :chill now.

I can verify this as a Japanese speaker. Japanese WITHOUT mixing all three writing systems together just looks weird to native speakers, unless you're a child and all you can read is hiragana. Everything is perfectly normal on the page.

Going through a quick skim I can't see what Bosk is so excited about when it comes to discounts and such. ;D

SystematicThought

I got excited because I read that as JLB posted tour dates... then I became sad

TheAtliator

Actually I was just about to ask that. When did he post tour dates???!

SystematicThought

He hasn't from what I can tell. That's why I was confused  :lol

TheAtliator

lol there's no tour dates..

wolven74

What if JLB decided on his next tour to open for DT? Personally I think that'd be an amazing show, but not very smart. I think JLB would like to widen his audience, get fans outside of the DT fan base. Wonder how Peter wilder does with Mangini's parts.

Zydar

I'm not sure his voice could stand the strains of first singing with the opening band and then sing for DT for a few hours.

Exactly, it's not gonna happen. A few weeks of touring in Europe/Usa in November or December would serve well ti get him in shape by the start of the DT leg, though.

wolven74

I realize a JLB/DT tour would never happen. I'm just saying that if it could, it would be a good show. The music is just different enough to be really a good compliment to each other.

Bolsters

Fuck that would be an amazing show. It will never happen, though. :'(

What would be a cool, but kinda awkward show:

Winterspell
Dominici
OSI
Planet X
Flying Colors
Dream Theater

TheAtliator

I always though Flying Colors would go so freaking great with DT. I wonder if there's any reason one of Portnoy's projects couldn't ever be in the mix with DT themselves.

Mosh

Lose Winterspell/Dominici, throw in LTE and I'm there.

But then every ex member of DT is represented  :lol

I love how finding hairy armpits unpleasant is now labeled as "homophobia". A few pages late but just found it a bit amusing.

It's suppoused to be: "מאיזו עיר אתה?"

Which means: "What city are you from?"

Well those big blocky characters are kanji, but it's pretty normal to see them hanging out with the other scripts.

So the DVD will have 5.1 sound? Would they do that for a simple "making of..." video? Or is it possible that they are actually planning to perform the album in-studio?

Maybe it's a similar deal to SC where you get a 5.1 mix of the studio album? (although a true DVD-A 5.1 mix would be preferable)
Then again, considering our information source here, it may mean absolutely nothing. :lol

Yep, thanks, my bad. I was just pointing out that SN's joke was unintentionally somewhat correct.

Isn't it awkward when you go out to dinner with your new girlfriend, and your ex-wife, with her new hubby, is seated at the table next to you?
