According to JLB's Twitter, the European shows are Evening With! I hope the same goes for North America!

Great! I just hope they put back the Swedish show in February, it disappeared from the tour dates yesterday :sadpanda:

I can confirm this.

cyberdrummer

Yeah, I can't see that on JLB's Twitter, but it's pretty much confirmed anyway (see the Concerts forum for various bits of evidence).

GasparXR

I don't see it either. Odd. We got punk'd.

KevShmev

Nice.  It makes me wonder then if a few longer songs will make it back into the mix on the 2014 touring cycle.  I know Setlist Scotty said JP had said The Count... was too long to play on the ADTOE tour, but with 3 hours to play with every night, instead of 2+, it should make it easier for some of those to come back.  In the Name of God, The Glass Prison and either Octavarium or A Change of Seasons would be sweet to see back in the set lists.

Mosh

Octavarium's return is overdue. :D

cyberdrummer

These are some predictions I made over in the Concerts forum:

Quote from: cyberdrummer on June 25, 2013, 01:09:06 PM
I'm gonna stick my neck on the line here with this prediction/hope:

Setlist A:
1. The Glass Prison
2. Strange Deja Vu
3. Afterlife
4. Panic Attack
5. This is the Life
6. Lifting Shadows Off A Dream
7. Take the Time
8. In the Name of God
=================
9. Dream Theater
----------------------------------
10. A Change of Seasons

Setlist B:
1. In the Presence of Enemies, Pt. 1
2. Under A Glass Moon
3. Blind Faith
4. Wither
5. Lifting Shadows Off A Dream
6. The Dance of Eternity
7. Only a Matter of Time
8. Vacant
9. Breaking All Illusions
=================
10. Dream Theater
----------------------------------
11. Octavarium

dparrott

Good!  Opening bands are a waste of time I think.  I just want DT.

If I got to see this setlist live, it would make my day week year life.

tartarus250

Ok so going with the evening with format of the shows and given that theses types of shows have been quite rough on JLB could we then predict that maybe the new album could be a double album one of the sides being all one song possibly an instrumental with an orchestra?

I'm calling it. There will be NO SINGLE this time around.

Why are you so sure about it? :)

I'm not. But I've got a feeling.
Already settled.

KevShmev

Ya know what's overdue? Them doing a Rotterdam-type section on a regular basis.  I am talking like 4-5 mellow-ish songs in a row while the band is all at the front of the stage.  Stick that in the middle of the second set, and fans will eat it up.

This Is The Life, and then Wait For Sleep INTO Learning to Live. Some fan would cry with happiness.

Dude, you could probably fap to anything!

;D
Quote from: wkiml on June 08, 2012, 09:06:35 AMwould have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Quote from: Stadler on February 08, 2025, 12:49:43 PMI wouldn't argue this.

Using their touring history since 2004 as a guideline, I can confirm with 96.3547% accuracy that their North American Tour in 2014 will NOT include a St. Louis venue and/or date. Please sleep well knowing that.

wasteland

They haven't stopped by St. Lous since the balcony accident?  :eek

Well, good thing both acoustic sets are gonna be on the Luna Park DVD, because it'll hopefully be just that!

jonnybaxy

Can you confirm the evening with idea? also I doubt they'll play TGP as MP features too heavily on vocals and I dont see JP doing it

cyberdrummer

I think JP could do MP's parts. I honestly don't see that as an issue - after all, they played WIMH and TTTSTA on the last tour.

Agreed. They put the "mp parts can't be done live now " to rest. I would say anything but the best of times is on the table... and maybe raw dog

dparrott

But can he do MP's part on Nightmare though ???  That would be funny to watch.

They should just do the 'Hopelessly Drifting' part of that song in a medley and forget the rest of it anyway IMO.....

That would actually be a great part of a ballad medley!

cramx3

Well they did use ANTR as a tryout song

GasparXR

Honestly, JLB could do that part in ANTR with a different vocal style, some sort of shriek that would fit with a heavy section like that.
