We have a announcement of a trailer of a DVD. How lovely.

The big announcement we're waiting is the release date of the trailer which will announce the special features of the 3rd trailer, which will reveal the release date of the DVD, which will include a link to a trailer revealing the release date of the Bluray, which will include a special feature that unlocks a commentary that will give away the location of the golden ticket which will enable you to download the hidden bonus track with a QR code embedded in the artwork, which will link you to a free download of Raw Dog.

So you mean this link which leads you to download Raw Dog could be the least clicked link ever on DTF history.

"Dream Theater Live at Luna Park trailer pop up fact... Everything was cut on Final Cut Pro. Thanks to Over The Edge for the facts!"

Am I the only one getting annoyed by these updates every morning?  :rollin

I always expect something important but it's always just the trailer

The other day's fact was that people lined up for hours. Today's face is that it was edited on a common piece of editing software. Are they already at the point of scraping the most obvious and un-insightful facts they can?

Mike Mangini is Dream Theater's new drummer. Thanks to Over The Edge for the facts!

Jay Beckenstein was in Spyro Gyra. Many thanks from James LaBrie to Over The Edge for the factual conclusive evidence.

Zydar

By the grace of God above, everyone survived. Many thanks to John Petrucci for the confirmation.

This is technically not fully correct--he is in Spyro Gyra.

wasteland

Well, the fact that he is does not exclude that he was, right?

Anyway:

We need a spinoff thread for this. Thanks to Over The Edge for the idea.

What special features can we expect for the bluray/dvd?
The Bluray and DVD will include up to a half hour of documentary bonus segments plus bonus songs and other goodies that are to be announced.

What about the length of the bluray/dvd?
The main concert is just under 3 hours.
1) The IaW anniversary performances?
2) Does the "all songs minus repetitions" setlist line up with this length?

wasteland

Interesting stuff :3

1) Very likely, but I would say that the relevant tracks from Hutington (TLF, Paradigm and 21st Century) are even more likely!
2) I think so. The main show was approximately 2,5h long, and the additional songs from the second night should count to 30-40 minutes.

Fingers crossed for this.  :metal

Maybe The Great Debate from the High Voltage show too?

Maybe The Great Debate from the High Voltage show too?

The leading theory (within my brain) is that the HV will be eventually released in full as a YJ bootleg, being that a full recording of it exists somewhere. It wouldn't make much sense to stuff one song from that show in the DVD, if that's the band intention.

Another_Won

Since TGD was on Score, I don't really think we need another one.  For bonus songs, I'd like to see TCOT.

^This!

I am more interested in the other goodies that have yet to be announced. If they NEED to be announced then it's likely that they are somewhat superior to bonus songs, right? Because those weren't officially announced or confirmed in any way before this interview came out today.

So it can't just be a tour photo gallery or Blob's animations (which I love, but I'm sure most agree aren't that big of a bonus features as extra songs are :D ).

YtseJamittaja

I just too tired to browse the pages of this thread if this has been discussed already, but..

One of the 360 degree cameras is in the centre in the front of audience. Camera shoot here: https://www.mativision.com/

Good new fact!

Quote from: DTFBDream Theater Live at Luna Park trailer pop up fact... Each song was meticulously broken down on paper for the assistant director, Chris Paul, who would constantly be reading off what was coming up next so director, Mike Leonard, could direct the cameras. Thanks to Over The Edge for the facts.
