I love Raw Dog.  The 30s starting at 3:18 is just so cool and badass.  Then at 5:05 there's more badassery.

New York

Grammy nominated band Dream Theater performed at Luna Park in Argentina back in August 2012. To commemorate the one year anniversary of that show, they will be releasing a live Blu-Ray/DVD of the concert through Over The Edge Productions, responsible for their drummer audition videos that aired back in April 2011.

After the departure of their drummer of 25 years, Mike Portnoy the band went on the search for a new drummer. After choosing Mike Mangini, the band recorded their critically acclaimed and suspiciously titled 11th album A Dramatic Turn of Events in September of 2011. They then embarked on a World Tour which just wrapped up last September.

The new DVD should be out late 2013.

See?! Other people DO like Raw Dog  :lol

BTW, if anyone thinks my new signature is annoying or distracting, I'll change it.

So, August 2013  Bleh.
@SystematicThought - is that real? I can't find it anywhere.

Not happy with the August 2013 release date. Why not just release it in April or May? It doesn't make sense to have two DT products (new album and live CD/DVD) release at the same time....

No, it isn't real.

But hey, I should ask MP to hire me to write press releases if that was believable

I do apologize if I led people on there  :lol

^ I thought so. I saw some grammatical errors in there.  ;)

EDIT:  :lol I just saw the "suspiciously titled" sentence. That's amazing how we all glanced over that!

MoraWintersoul

You apparently got bosk... did this really happen? :lol

Hey guys, I have an update about DT12. Stay tuned for my next post in this thread.
Okay, so, I can't let anything out without coordinating with the band first... HOWEVER, I will say that DT12 is currently being worked on to satisfy fan cravings for the best possible DT experience! The album is bound to be released in several versions and on several formats, and I will definitely be pointing you all to some real goodies as the band makes the available. Thanks for following!
Ha!! Excellent. That's commitment to a bit.

I really like that rainy gif.  For some reason it makes me feel instrospective and calm.

I'm in Vancouver.  I love rain, thunder, lightning, etc.  Sudden thundershowers are the absolute best.

Sooooooo

Carrying on......I was thinking about DVD commentarys.

Personally, cos I, like many here, are/is a bit/lot of a geek when it comes to DT/Anne Hathaway, I like the commentarys on previous releases. But I think it's sorta obvious that they were a MIke Portnoy thing as he likes his movie extras and he did most of the commentating.

However, I think it would be pretty cool to hear the guys again. I'd like to get MM's view of the contrast between touring as part of a band as opposed to being a hired gun.

I guess it's late in the day as the DVD is probably well in to post-production. And also, many apologies if this has been discussed in a previous thread/life.

Thoughts?

I get more out of the commentaries than the DVD itself. I'd absolutely love one.
