I always just assumed that this was one of Jordan's iOS apps.

Kinda sounds like "boy's skippy too". And now that sound is freaking me out.

"Boys let me go"? LMAO, yes, if you play the album backwards you can hear the conversation MP had with the band about leaving them.

OH MY GOSH YOU GUYS DIDN'T HEAR THAT?????  I HEARD THAT PART BEFORE I EVER EVEN HEARD THE SONG!  I just KNEW it was in there!  I didn't even have to hear it!  I thought everyone knew about that part!

LOL  .... I'm just kidding.

"And I would've gotten away with never hearing "Boys, let me go" in On the Backs of Angels too if it weren't for those meddling (DTF) kids..."

If you were arouond in the 80s you would have played all your albums backwards, ask Mrs Gore.

I certainly hear Scooby Doobie Doo. Doesn't mean that's what it say though.

I think you all are listening too hard  :lol . I mean I hear what you all are referring too, but it sounds to me like its a segue of the seagulls samples from the end of The Count of Tuscany. It sounds slightly modulated though so it may just be the effect of modulation making it sound like a voice. I don't think the guys would put in some nonsense "boys let me go" or "scooby dooby doo" phrase. It has nothing to do with OtBoA lyrics or the album, just saying. These would also be the first spoken words on the album and I don't think they would hide them like that.

:justjen Then again, there have been hidden messages in their music before so who really knows. Somewhere down the road, someone needs to bring this up to the band and see what the guys say.

The Fatal Tragedy

Okay, the minute I read this topic I was very much intrigued by the whole thing. So, I took the raw isolated keyboards stem from the download RoadRunner Records provided awhile back for OtBoA, and I opened the file in a program called Audacity. I listened to the beginning many times with my studio headphones, and... well... I can positively confirm there is a phrase of words repeated several times by a female whose voice sounds emotionally distraught. I am 100% sure I know exactly what she is saying, too. In the tone of what sounds to be a begging plea, the following phrase is spoken:

"Please! Get me help!"

I must also note that because of the compression applied by the album version of the song, the voice ends up getting drowned out by the surrounding sound effects, thus, altering what the voice is actually saying. As a result, the album version (compared to the original keyboard stem) may sound like the voice is saying "boys" instead of "please," and "go" instead of "help," but I can assure you that it's a frightened girl moaning, "Please! Get me help!"
