Not that I care what a guy does with his hair, but rock star or not, most men look ridiculous with long hair past a certain age, IMO.

I'm inclined to agree

They made Load which is a fine album.

Yeah, if you like the sound of metal garbage cans rolling down a steep hill, then it's great! Imo, of course.

If Load sounds like metal garbage cans rolling down a steep hill, then I love the sound of metal garbage cans rolling down a steep hill.

Think you're confusing LOAD with ST ANGER a bit.

Look at all us freaks cluttering your city streets
Still scalping their ticket-less applause

To make a change?
Is it shorter than before?
Can we help him comb the hair?
Are we profiting of cuuuuuuurls?

IT'S TIME TO MAKE A CHANGE

I was coming in to do something very much like this.   :tup

Fiery Winds

I don't think JP can pull off the short hair look now that he's bulked up without looking like a meathead.

Personally, I think he looks best with short hair.

Me too. Wish he'd bring that look back. I really don't dig his current look.

Cyclopssss

Hell, why not? I have....

I actually like JP's hair in this photo. To me its a lot cooler than that of the long hair. But musically speaking, Metal Bands all wear LONG HAIRS! Hahaha

EDIT: Sorry I forgot to put like between actually and JP's.

I actually JP's hair in this photo.
Just don't accidentally the whole thing.

Flacracker

I think the long hair suits his bear body now. If he gets small again he should cut his hair.

Demolition

Ultimately it matters most what his wife thinks of it.  I personally think he looked better in the shorter hair but two things have changed, he was younger without the receding hairline and he was no were near as big as he is now.  I do think it is a little shabby now and should be trimmed up somehow but if it was real short again I think he would look older and fatter.

I mentioned the original song to a few of my friends a while back, and they thought I was insane. I couldn't find anyone who had heard of it.
Now I know I am right!

 :metal indeed.

Anyway, this discussion is silly. If JP wants to cut his hair he will. If he doesn't he won't. Simple as that. In the meantime, I think his hair is awesome.

SystematicThought

JLB needs to cut his hair again like he did right around this time 2 years ago. The shorter hair suited him really well

I think I'm not the only one who would oppose to this *inb4 Violet* He can do whatever he wants with his hair, but this length suits him really well. He's been long-haired for, what, at least 2/3 of his life. It's just JLB, he's a rocker dude.

James *officially announced* cutting his hair on September 24th. 3:44 pm. On his Twitter. Via iPhone.
James has had long hair since he was 15 (according to him) so that's like 34 years or something.
Just clearing this up.

And he should NOT cut his hair again.

MoraWintersoul

I cannot tell what I like better - these pieces of information, your serious delivery, or the fact I knew about how long has he had long hair too

(and the "2/3" number was an attempt to hide the fact I knew, because I'm a creeeeeeeeep, I'm a weirdoooooo)

SystematicThought

But the FII era he had short hair....

MoraWintersoul

It wasn't *much* shorter than now - we're talking about really short hair here :)

And he should NOT cut his hair again.

I'm with the fangirls. That Twitter photo with the short bird hair mortified me, and I never want to have to see that again. I think his hair's looking good as it is right now.

I have never understood why. You can't tell what kind of music most musicians are playing just by looking at them, but when it comes to metal it's like everybody has to visually scream out where they belong. Pretty much the same with many fans, especially of the really heavy screamy/growly & fast stuff. Fair enough, if you wanna be put in a box be my guest. I will never understand it myself. Then again I'm a fan of music types that are extremely different. Last two tracks that I was playing bass on was progressive metal and funk for instance, and I'm usually all over the place.
