Still no thread for this show so I guess I'll start one. This was an outdoor venue which kinda sucked because of the heat, but at least the sun wasn't a problem for long.

Crimson Projekct was awesome. Danny Carey from Tool (a native Kansan) was in attendance and sat in with them for a few songs. I also saw Andy McKee (a native Kansan as well) there in the crowd.

DT was mind-blowing as usual. Seeing Lost Not Forgotten played live was pretty jaw-dropping. James managed not to fall this time ;D

I hope they decide to play KC again in the future. I usually end up having to go to Dallas.

Oh, and I guess if the venue has "Theatre" in its name, it's more likely they will misspell it for DT  ;)

haha, still can't shake the Theatre.  Thanks for sharing.

I was there! Small DT fan community in KC, which sucks. Show was awesome though  :metal

I was the guy bowing down when they started playing Metropolis  :hefdaddy

Yeah, I was a little disappointed in the turnout, but the crowd that was there was pretty great and at least stood for most of the show.

Ye gods it was hot.

Terrific show.  I'd like to have seen more people.  My section had a significant number of dads with daughters, which was kind of cool to see.

I looked up the setlist ahead of time, but didn't tell my wife that her favorite song, The Spirit Carries On was on it.  She reacted appropriately.

Was also awesome to see the audience warm up to Crimson ProjeKt as their set went on.

I always wanted to see DT at an outdoor venue (I don't really know why)  This would have been the perfect opportunity, but sadly I couldn't make it to the show.  It was quite the bummer

First time for me seeing Dream Theater live.  Excellent, never seen a tighter band.  Above expectations.  I traveled from Des Moines to see them and will do it again.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JtCsoeCQHb4&feature=channel&list=UL - John Petrucci's Solo.

In the same channel there's roughly one quarter of the show.

Thanks for sharing this... I am SO looking forward to seeing them Thursday!
