So, who is going?

Anybody know the presale password?

Implode

Is the Saturday date confirmed? I'll but tickets as soon as it is.

robbob

Looks like Saturday the 23rd has been confirmed, checking ticketmaster. Echoing Madman Shepard, does anybody know thw presale password? Ticketmaster shows an Internet Presale and a Chase Customer Presale.

Madman Shepherd

The Chase password is 426684 which is the first 6 numbers on any chase card.  I tried for a half hour and most of the seats were pretty crappy they tried to give me.  Anywhere from 20-30 rows back.  Finally I found one that was about 15 rows back but kept trying and eventually I got one that was about 8 rows back on the aisle.

You might have better luck if you wait til they go on sale to the public but I don't know.  I think all pit tickets (rows 1-4) are reserved for the VIP passes so 4th row back in the main section  is probablty the best I was going to do for 30 minutes after the presale started.

The presale password on Livenation is 'drumline' (source: email from livenation).

wkiml

if their is a radio password for the Chicago show I believe its "summer"

Madman Shepherd

Wow there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of interest for a show in the 3rd biggest city in the county  :-\

I'd be going to Chicago again, but DT scheduled three shows in my state of Ohio, so I'm staying in state this leg.

I used the Chase presale Thursday - got main floor seats in 3R section - row NN - so probably a bit back but didn't seem that bad.

Implode

I'm actually able to go to this one. This'll be my first DT concert. Section 3R, row C is the best I could do. I'm excited.

Knguro

I will travel all the way central America to Chicago to be at that concert with my dad, it will be great to get to meet some of you guys!

splent

For my first post over here in forever, I'm going... haven't gotten the tickets yet, but they will be nosebleed seats... I may even try to do call tickets to see if I can get a better deal for a better seat.

Wow, that's dedication. Awesome!

I love this venue, very good acoustics even though it was not designed for a metal show. I was there in 2009 for Progressive Nation. I like the setlists of what I have seen so far, I can understand the repeat songs since MM is still fairly new to the band. I'm ready for them to blow the roof off this place. Also looking forward to Projekt Crimson since Tony Levin (LTE) is in the band, I hope he has the Chapman Stick!!

Anyone else notice that on the DT Tour page for Chicago it says that the opening act is now Tesla???????? Which is funny because they are on tour right now with the Scorpions and will be in Vegas the same night lol

splent

The Scorpions will be in Chicago not too long after DT will be... maybe they made a mistake

TAC

I'd take Tesla over The Crimson Project any day of the week!
Quote from: wkiml on June 08, 2012, 09:06:35 AMwould have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Quote from: Stadler on February 08, 2025, 12:49:43 PMI wouldn't argue this.

Not too many Chicagoans here, are there?

I guess not.  I'm from Iowa and will be at the show.

I don't know the area too well but there are some good restaurants right around the venue.  I'll probably partake in some Ethiopian food beforehand.

Implode

I'm going there from Iowa as well! I guess it is the closest venue to Iowa that's on a weekend.

Nice!  I'm in the Quad-Cities.  Where are you?  Last time they played in Chicago I saw a bunch of people from Iowa...some as far as Cedar Rapids which is about a 4+ hour drive.

Implode

I go to school and work in Des Moines, so it's a 6 hour drive for me. Though I normally live in IL, so it's not as bad as it sounds.

Madman Shepherd

Wow...I have usually never drive more than 3 hours to see a band but fortunately Chicago, Milwaukee, and Madison are within that three hour range.

I must admit, I did drive 5 hours to see Guns n' Roses in Kansas City but used it as an excuse to check out some museums and eat BBQ.  I also drove 12 hours to see GNR in Winnipeg.  No good reason for that.

Implode

Well the concert is the biggest reason, the one that initiated the trip, but I'll be visiting home as well.

splent

The Chicago Theatre is in the loop (right across from ABC7)... you may have to go across the river to find any restaurants that may be open after the show, because the Loop is where all the skyscrapers are.  Don't worry, because the theater is right by the river.

Implode

I've never eaten downtown. (Besides the MJ Restaurant like 15 years ago lol) Would you recommend somewhere?

carl320

I'm going to be at the show... looking forward to it  :D

Knguro

Ok, already here, no cameras allowed, now that SUCKS!

Implode

Yeah. Crimson Project just finished. Looking forward to DT!

Implode

That was a great concert. Not really sure what the highlights were. It was just amazing over-all.

Yeah, same setlist, but it didn't fucking matter! James Labrie was ON!! It was the best I have ever heard him live of the 6 times I've seen the band. Wow, it was beyond amazing!! He hit his high notes and held his long notes. I am not disappointed!
