Anybody doing a meetup before the show? I need to meet some DT fans.  I have seen them 15 plus times and usually go alone.  Actually I still need to buy a ticket.  Driving to Dallas now, can't wait!

theanalogkid7

So stoked.  I wasn't sure I was going to be able to make this show, but I found out today that I could in fact go.  Figured tickets would be far in the back, but I managed to get two tickets 3rd row from the front stage left.  Very excited to see DT again, especially in a place so close to OKC.

Beowulf

I'll be there with my Redemption "Snowfall World Tour" shirt on, and I'll be with my son.  He's actually a bit taller than me.  But I'll be there.  I'm sure I'll be the only one with that shirt, so if any of you see me, come say hi!!

I think Barto said he was up for a little meet.  Eh, Bart?

James007

I'll be there.  I'm a fat bald guy and I'll have a blue and white Hawaiian shirt on.

Beowulf

Where u sittin'?
My son and I are front row center of Sec. 305.

wolfandwolfandwolf

I'll be there.  Not sure what I'm wearing yet.  Probably this vintage looking Texas Rangers baseball tee.  Red sleeves, blue body, big old school 'T' logo on the chest.

Beowulf

I'll look for ya'll.  I may just scream out "DTF" and see what happens!

Depending on traffic, I may not make it until Crimson Projekt is already on, so maybe we can meet up in between.

wolfandwolfandwolf

Anybody need a ticket to this show? I'll sell one to you for the same price I paid. Guy who was going with me backed out today

El Barto

Make your friend pay for it then give it to somebody who otherwise couldn't afford to go.

Beowulf

Damn, if I knew someone with such short notice...

But I'll be there a b it early, since I just got home from work!  But it won't be a quick drive from Flower Mound to Grand Prairie.

I look forward to meeting ya'll.  We'll have to take a pic to post tomorrow!

See u there!

El Barto

Not sure when I'll be there, who I'm going with, or what level of functionality I'll be operating at, but I'll keep my eyes out for anybody who looks DTF'ish.

Progmetty

Have a great time dude! I hope another drum stick rolls it's way back to you ;D
wolfandwolfandwolf If I read your post a few hours ago I might have jumped on that ticket, oh well! I hope you can sell it at the venue, a few people were selling tickets outside at the venue in Austin last night.

El Barto

Looks like I'll be going with friends, and likely pretty tanked up to boot.  No time for much of a meet up before the show, but I'd certainly look to put some names to faces given the opportunity.  I'll be wearing my Patriots cap.  Probably other clothing as well, but no guarantees.

Beowulf

Just got here. Traffic was a lot lighter than I thought!

I'll look for your Pats cap, Barto.  I'm wearing my Redemption Snowfall tour shirt.

wolfandwolfandwolf

I'll see you folks there, I'll be in the lobby a bit before Projekt.

Also, after the show, I can loiter around the merch table.  I'll be a in a three quarter length rangers shirt.  I have a sick sunburn on the right side of my face and glasses.

Beowulf

Progmetty

DT has been on stage for around 20 minutes now, hope you fellas are losing your voices over there ;D

No shit.  That show was bad ass.  Was the improv section with John and Jordan before Spirit Carries On done at the other shows?  That was really impressive.

I thought Crimson Whatever was pretty good too.... at least the drummers.

I looked around for the Redemption shirt but didn't see it.  I got busy talking to WeirdHarold2112 and my son and his buddies.  Sorry guys.

In 9 or 10 shows, I'm pretty sure that was the best I've seen DT play.  I'll make a point to redress some of my recent criticisms of their live show tomorrow.  They redeemed themselves quite a bit tonight.

Crimson Projekt completely knocked me on my ass again.  Between those guys and the invigorated DT set, that was really an upper echelon concert experience.

Amusing anecdote.  I made it inside the venue with an individual intoxicant count of 5, and pretty seriously inebriated.  I saw Debra's SO and thought to myself, hey, that's Debra's SO, but that doesn't look like Debra.  I thought about it for a second and decided that since I was pretty well buzzed when I met her on Saturday, and thoroughly blasted tonight,  I probably shouldn't rely to much on my ability to recognized faces (which sucks even under the best of circumstances).  I went over, shook her SO's hand, gave her a friendly hug, then out of nowhere the real Debra stepped out from behind her old man where she'd been completely obscured, leaving me completely dumbfounded.  The upshot of the whole deal is that whoever her friend was thinks I'm a weird but overly friendly guy, and Debra probably thinks I'm a real dick for barely acknowledging her presence.  God damn drugs make life entertaining sometimes.   :tup

Got to meet Beowulf and his son, along with Wolf3.  All nice folk.  Good to put some faces to names (although that probably won't last under current circumstances).  Sorry I wasn't as coherent as I occasionally am.

They did play it, but it worked out better this evening, and JR participated in the improv more tonight.  As I recall, he was more of an accompanist in Austin.

edit: also good to see the original setlist after the slightly different one on Saturday.

Don't  worry about feeling foolish about that Barto, the first female you hugged was my daughter, so you at least had the right family.  :mehlin

If it was an actual improvement they will keep it for the shows to come, they have always been doing like this with Improv Jams.  :D

WOW, and all his body parts are still where they were?????   :o

I sat right behind "admin" and freaked, guy is super nice. Also met Barto and another unnamed dtfer...

Beowulf

It was good to meet Barto.  Sorry I didn't see the rest of you guys.  But great show.  The improv section was mindblowing.  Just beautiful.

Big Hath

what sections were you guys in?  I was in 204, row LL (I think) - right behind the dude that kept getting in trouble with his bong.

Couldn't believe JP's guitar wouldn't play twice.

And this may be blasphemy, but did his intonation seem a bit off a few times?  Especially with some of his bends on the higher end of the scale?

I think the cat's already out of the bag, dude - it was great to meet you and your buddy (I forgot his name, sorry :blush ).

Wow.  The guys really had it dialed in, even with the technical problems/James's vox being a touch off in places.  We were directly in front of wolves in Section 103.
