Agreed.  One reason I went down there requesting section 204.  Hoping the same while their computer system gets repaired.

Good call. I'd do the same if I was near by.

Joep

Tickets in hand.  They didn't have a promo code.

Section 204, Row A, Seats 19 & 20

Dr. DTVT

Dream Theater AND Gambling?  I might have to make this my show of choice depending on how the job thing turns out.  Of course if I get one of the jobs in eastern PA I've applied for then its a moot point and I'll be betting DON'T PASS against Nick all night :)

Nice! Right in the middle

OsMosis2259

Section 102 ROW PP seats 1-3. Should be a good show!

Anyone know for sure about age restrictions? dt.net>Tour>Info says its 18+ only for admission. I'd like to take my son for his first concert. What do your tickets say? I'm afraid to call there and be given wrong information and be screwed the night of the show.

Ticketbastard doesn't say anything about age restrictions.

johncal

I'm in 201. kind of sucks but that's all i could get.

Joep

I was curious as well as my 14 year old wanted to go.  The staff couldn't give me a straight answer when I was there and their main number got me lost in the voicemail jungle.  Try 484-490-1800 and good luck.

I would think its okay since you can access the venue (track) without entering the casino floor.  Able to take the same kid to the Queensryche show at HOB in AC two years ago.  But don't take my word for it.

OsMosis2259

This is going to be a very long wait until the end of July!

I WIN

damn nice. I'm assuming you are doing the Meet and greet?

PlaysLikeMyung

Believe it or not, no. I missed the presales and whatnot, so about a week or so afterwards i just kinda looked for tickets and those were the first ones that came up. Unless the M&G got WAY cheaper, those were only 60something bucks a ticket.

Never doing a presale again

Yeah that always happens... I always get the ticket the day they are on sale but then when I look back at the site a couple weeks after, there are better seats available. I wish you can just select your seats... Oh well... Should be a great show!

Nick

I'm just gonna check once or twice a week and hope I can do the same, first 10 rows in 102 or 103 and I'll likely buy.

Lunchbox

Does anybody have any info on the age restrictions? I'd really not like to buy tickets to only be turned away because it's 21+

Scrub206

I was wondering how long it would take someone to grab the name Lunchbox on these forums... haha

thanks a million, gonna go order now.

DTFan0789

Am I the only one who bought a VIP package for this show?

PlaysLikeMyung

probably. they're really expensive. 250 a piece? I can't really afford that.

I mean, I know Symphony X isn't a huge band, but I paid 70 bucks for a M&G with them...

OsMosis2259

Yeah its too expensive for me. I'm sure it would be a memorable experience though

Rkeister

I bought two VIP tickets the minute they went on sale :) stood in e-line clicking refresh haha.

Well at least I know that one person on this forum is doing the VIP treatment! Do you have any idea when we are going to find out exactly where our seats are?

And just between me and everybody else in this thread, I got into a little bit of, er, what do they call that...."credit card debt" after purchasing my ticket....

Rkeister

I did the Merriam in october, the way it worked was they gave us an email with the details what time to go. When we walked in they handed us an envelope with the tickets. I got third row last time (still practically at the stage.) and there were rumors that earliest purchase gets best seats. That's why i stood in e-line this time clicking refresh. This way I will know first hand if it matters or not. Don't worry about the credit card debt. now thanks to them coming around twice this year, releasing an album, and all the other memorabilia, i've spent about $2,000 on them in the last 10 months. It's worth it.

DTFan0789

Yep, Dream Theater is the only band/artist/musician who I would spend that much money on.

As I Am

Is this a completely outdoor venue (no covering)?

Joep

There is a small cover for the patio behind the bleacher seats.  Parking garage overlooks the set up, but security moved people out at the Skynyrd gig.

Rkeister

just a heads up for those of you younger fans, i know the original show said 18+ ages, VIP nation just sent me an email saying they found out show is 21+ and they're offering refunds to those under. Sorry for anyone who is gonna miss this due to age.

countoftuscany42

What? bullshit! is ticketmaster going to refund too? cause my dad and i bought tickets and we'd better get our money if we didnt get to go..

countoftuscany42

i found on the harrah's website that all concert-goers must be 21, but then why would ticketmasters tickets be printed with 18+? seems fishy to me..

DTFan0789

UPDATE:

"Dear Dream Theater Chester VIP fan,

Harrah's Chester Downs has assured us that there is no age restriction and that the Dream Theater show on July 21, 2012 is an all ages event. You no longer need to worry about refunds, as all guests will be able to attend, regardless of age.

No further action is needed on your part and all of your tickets are in good standing and still valid.

Thank you and we apologize for the confusion"

So there you go kiddies, no need to worry. :)
