Yep, I noticed it too! Forsaken was the song that got me into Dream Theater, so i'll always have a soft spot for it :)

Also, I'll give some love to JP's solo on this track. Killer!

ZirconBlue

I like little touches like this.  I also really like the harmonies on the words "fear within me".

SeRoX

I think it's impossible not to notice that.

Agreed.  :tup

DTF has made my analytical mind turn its powers towards DT...bringing both blessings and curses within the realm of the "cannot be unheard."

At the risk of sounding snobby, I didn't realize that anyone didn't notice that.
This.  :D

I love how holier than thou some people get about this type of thing.  "I heard it, I can't believe you didn't hear it."  Okay.  :lol

Sorry if you mistook it that way (though I never said it). It doesn't mean we're better listeners.

It mean we're better people.

I don't mean to belittle you for not having heard it right away, and I sincerely apologize if I came across that way.  You asked if anyone noticed the section, and my answer is, "yes, and I thought it was fairly obvious."  Sorry if that's holier-than-thou.

SnakeEyes

I didn't mean to say it was you, specifically.  In fact, I didn't even pay attention to who posted which comments, it was just something I noticed from certain posts.  Maybe I misread the intention of certain posts.

I don't really mind the song. It's pretty vanilla for DT. I admit that the first time I heard it (and to this day) I do love JPs rhythm riff.

Sketchy

I may have noticed it but not really clocked it, as I'm pretty sure I remember something.

But yeah, I really like that song a whole lot.

I thought it was pretty obvious. But then gain I listen a lot with headphones so it's easy to pick up on those little details. That song lyrically is terrible, even JP seemed ashamed of coming up with those lyrics during the chaos in motion DVD. I like JR's keyboard riff, that's the best part of that song.

He's clearly just shy directly in front of camera talking on his own. He acts the same for the rest of the interview sections on that DVD, not just discussing those lyrics.

bosk1

Exactly.  I'm not sure what there is to be "ashamed of" anyway.  The lyrics are fine.

Yeah I think I noticed it on one of the first listens, but that's because I do a lot of my listening on earphones so it's easier to pick up little subtleties like that. I still dig the song quite a bit.
