As for 6:00, I do agree that the patterns don't match to original.  I prefer the originals for sure.  But I'm not overly upset about it.  Though I do find it odd that as skilled as he is and as faithful to a lot of the other old parts why he plays this one differently.
There is a simple explanation. He is the drummer of the band now and as long as the other guys in the band agree, I think he has been changing parts of the songs to fit his style. That's perfectly fine since he is the drummer, not Mike Portnoy. We've seen him change up some parts in plenty of other songs since he joined the band.

EDIT: I'd also love to see To Live Forever on the DVD. That song is awesome.
