Yeahhhhhh, we don't really do this here. There's an official thread for top 50 lists.

Not the case in this instance, he's not making a typical rundown, just quickly listing off his list as an introduction, quite alright.

Welcome. :)

You may be a mod, Nick, but that doesn't mean you can attribute false quotes to me.

Anyway, Beyond This Life, huh? Interesting choice.

What's so weird about #13? A lot of people really like Under a Glass Moon..

I find The Dance of Eternity at #8 a lot more concerning lol
Also, what the hell is that at #36?

Oh, and welcome. :)

Well, not a bad song at all and I enjoy it, but.... Yeah maybe I'd place it at number 31 or something, I dunno. Maybe a tie with The Great Debate!  :lol

Totally... It's to low.

That's not a popular opinion around here, but I agree.

Status Seeker is my top 20 song. And I'm not ashamed.

What the hell is wrong with #18 ITPOE? Sure, it may not be their shining moment. And it may not be the top 20minute+'er. But the song has an intensity that goes throughout the entire song, which is a feat for more than 20 minutes. It reminds me of listening to my AA suite mashup- very heavy and intense for a long time.

lithium112

Welcome to the forums! Interesting list - don't think I've ever seen BTL at #1 before. You should put your name down in the Official Top 50 thread - I'd like to hear your take on some of these song placements. Digging most of your Top 10 though!!

No offense intended but as a whole, The AA Suite is a snooze-fest. Live it'd be good good but sitting down and listening to it would not be high on my list of things to do

I disagree - I love listening to the saga all the way through. And TSF makes a lot more sense when it is immediately preceded by the other 4.

SystematicThought

I suppose I should have put in my opinion at the end of my post as I made it sound like The AA Suite being a snooze-fest was a fact.

Anyways, I just feel like Repentence kind of brings it down a bit too much

I didn't take any offense to it, we all have our views.  :coolio I will disagree about Repentance...without it, the song would play like Meshuggah or death metal album...no real let up.

I have always liked TSF minus the other four. But yeah, it does fit better as a part. Actually, i like the transition to TSF in my combined version the best out of the others. I spliced in the immediate full volume of the instrumental TSF (vocal one fades in), and that riff hits so hard after the end of Repentance.
