So here's the "follow-up" to my Honor Thy Father video !
This time I compiled all of the movie samples from Awake and ACOS.
( Well, all except a few in Space Dye Vest which are pretty much impossible to find  :P)

I'm actually really happy to see "I know all about the honor of God, Mary Jane. I've always wondered who is talking. To be honest, I was surprised that 6:00 on a Christmas morning was a woman.

And I thought the mall one was a girl too

These definitely change my visions of the song and who was talking

Damn, I had no idea it was a woman's voice in 6:00.  :lol

I was hoping for that clip from Late night with Conan O'Brien, too bad it's that impossible to find.

And, yeah, great job.  :tup

\o\ lol /o/

krands85

Great job again  :tup

I always thought the kid in SDV was a girl. Seems to be a lot of that sort of mistake judging by the response to your 2 vids  :lol
Whoaaaahh, ohhh, ohhhhh. Whoaaaahh, ohhhhh, ohhhhhh. Waaah, ahhh, haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaowwwwww

Acideus

I had no idea the "Gather ye rosebuds while ye may" part was a sample, I've always though it was JP talking...

Jamesman42

That's because you drink too much progahol.
\o\ lol /o/

Terrific job!  How did you find that SDV clip of the father talking to the son?  I've never seen it!

Amazing work my friend, your videos are amazing! :metal

Yeah, this is great.  I too would love to know where you got the footage of The Trouble with Evan.  It's always been an intriguing documentary that I have never been able to find.

snapple

A Room With a View is such a fantastic film.

I thought that was a woman for whatever dumbass reason. Didn't know it was a boy.
Maybe the grass is greener on the other side because you're not over there fucking it up.

wow, so awesome

also is that helena bonham carter as the space dye vest girl?

T-ski

I wonder what goes into the thinking of putting these samples into these songs.  I find it hard to believe they are watching these movies and saying, "that line was great, we should put it in a song."

The thought process would be interesting to hear.

Progmetty

That's great!
I have hundreds of back Conan O'Brien episodes in my collection but very few before 1997 unfortunately.

PintoZ

It's probably an early 1994 episode..
Who knows...maybe you have the one ;)

Tomislav95

Thank you very much! You've made my day :)

KISS 76

Fantastic! Well done... I wouldn't even know where to start....

Sure looks like it!  It's crazy how most of these clips have well-known actors/actresses in there, and the only one I ever recognized was from Dead Poet's Society.  I really need to watch more movies...  :-[

SeRoX

Very well job. I didn't know some of it, now it's cleared.

nikostheater

Fantastic work!
The only downside is that from now on,when i am will listen to 6 o clock i will remember that fat lady..  ;D

WindMaster

Great stuff. neat seeing where those come from.

Sweet bongo of the Congo, how did you figure that out? What are the chances of knowing all those films?

Well done!

philippaopao

Wow, I've always thought that the voice that's reciting the poem of Robert Herrick in ACOS was Petrucci's. :lol

DeanTheater

That was impressive!  thanks for putting that together  :metal

You'd be amazed how much stuff one can find on the internet.  ;)

Same here, it just fits the song and blends with it so seamlessly that it didn't even cross my mind it could be a sample...and I also saw the movie like 2-3 times.  :P

And here are all the isolated samples : https://www.mediafire.com/download.php?s28s9x2d0r9dx0j

KISS 76

Fantastic stuff. Thanks for taking the time to compile that.

I watched a bit the "Trouble with Evan" video. Man, watching such dysfunctional families is depressing.
