Bridges in the sky- Opener

Hey Fellas,
I've seen DT 3 times so far this tour and I have to say that BITS is a great opening song. I get pumped just waiting for it to be played. Whatta you guys think? Is there a better song for the opener?

It's probably one of the better songs on the album so I'd say yes.

But it is certainly a VERY good opener on this tour.

I actually think Outcry would be the most epic opener, just because of the intro that gives me chills every time i hear it!

BITS is, in my opinion, the best song they could have chosen as an opener for this tour. The intro to that song is so dynamic! To me, it's a no-brainer.

Though, I wish to one day have the pleasure of seeing DT open with TGP...not likely...but still

If they do a 2nd North American leg, they should switch the opener to LNF. If you think about it, it would be a badass opener!

It's a stunning opener.  I love the way they build the anticipation with The Dream is Collapsing.   Similar to the traffic light going yellow and then GREEN on the SC tour.

In all honesty, it's their best opening EVER! Dream Is Collapsing combined with that awesome intro video and then BAM! the guitar riff to start it of. Amazing.

The opening from the SFaM show is very hard to compete with, but Bridges is right up there.  I knew the moment I heard the song, it would be the opener, same as when I heard Glass Prison for the first time.  It's the only psychic ability I have.

I definitely think LNF would make a great opener. I don't think quite as good as BITS, but great nonetheless. Not so sure about BAI though. Just doesn't feel like a big energetic enough opening to kick off the show to me.

I want to see and hear LNF live so bad, hoping for a 2nd US leg in my area. Hans Zimmer + Bridges opening is the best! I agree with Blob that BAI wouldn't fit as the first song.

I listened to BITS on a good stereo system for the first time and GOD ITS POWERFUL!! Perfect opener this time around. Also can't wait for them to play LNF, but I dont expect DT to make it an opener.

I love BITS...love it! But, with the way the song begins...it's a pretty long 'intro' in itself and that combined with the 'Dream is Collapsing' is just TOO long for me....it's anticlimatic IMO. I agree that LNF would be pretty cool but I still maintain that the best song on the album to open with would be Breaking All Illusions. Perfect opening riff.....immidiately gets the adrenaline going....and the 'message' in that song is killer.
  I get that it really works well for an encore being that JP's solo is better fit for an end of the night cap off.....but I'd say the beginning of the song is more set up for a set opener. I am just not a fan of the long Dream is Collapsing followed by the long throat/chorus stuff then finally getting to the killerness of BITS.

Apparently, The Glass Prison is 'boring' to play on drums. I once proposed to play this as a fun cover of my band (and for a challenge to myself as well, I'm the guitarist) and a week after he said it wasn't fun to do and 'boring' to play for him.
