I was listening to Outcry, and i really liked the part after the instrumental where there are drums, bass and keys.
This is a simple groove, but i really like it and i think its my favorite MM part on the album.

What about you? :)

Batshit "let's hit as many things as possible but stay in time" bit in BITS.

For me it's at about 4:40 in Lost Not Forgotten where he plays 8th notes on the snare and quarter notes on the hats.  Can't help but smile a little when i hear it :)

Tickle section in LNF  :hefdaddy

That pretty much and the stuff he does in Outcry too.

On The Backs Of Angels, the Jordan doubling part towards the beginning. Sure he does crazier stuff on the album, but its just so perfect.

Personally I like everything he does on the album. The doubling Jordan at the beginning of OTBOA was the first "holy shit!" moment for me. Then I heard the rest and I was  :omg: :metal :hefdaddy

All of LNF pretty much! The last chorus is so fast and amazing

There's a lot of great stuff in there, but the little bit in Lost not forgotten from 6:08 to 6:12 is my favorite. Just because it's something you didn't expect to hear.

My thoughts (almost) exactly! And then seeing him play these live? Exponential levels of pure awesomeness! How a mortal man can play those parts seamlessly and effortlessly is beyond comprehension.

I love the ending of BAI.  I love that ending.  I always imagine MM in the studio finishing up this song and smiling with tears in his eyes, thinking" how cool is this that I am here" while finishing those last few notes.  chills

I just started listening for parts to post in this thread. I don't know if it's my favorite yet, but no one's mentioned it yet, so here goes:

On the last chorus of BITS the offbeat accents on the bell of the ride. Really nice little touch. Totally makes it for me.

8:01 - 8:11 in Outcry -  :hefdaddy   :justjen  I have trouble figuring out the meters there, lol.

The section of Outcry that was recorded to show off his new drum set I think is the best part of the album. He really utilizes his drums and gives purpose for such a large kit from having parts like that in songs.
