I love about half the album, the other half falls into the "meh" category for me

Infinite Cactus

Unimatrix

IMO it's a good album, on par with BC&SL, but not as good as Systematic Chaos  :metal

Honestly, this album is tied with I&W as my favorite DT album of all time. It's definitely fresh and exciting like I&W was. There is only one song on this disc I automatically skip. FFH is by far the most boring track on the album. All others kick some serious ass. Love this disc. :metal:

Dream Team

I tell ya, I've been listening to this non-stop and I struggle to find a weak moment on the album. It really is that good. There are no moments where I'm thinking "this is really lame" or "boring". At worst some moments on the album are "derivative" of existing DT material but that really doesn't detract from it. I love ADTOE and after a few more months am confident it will still be somethere between #1 and #4 for me.

If this is a compliment I'd hate to see an insult  :o.

I'm getting to the point where I need to put it aside and listen to some other music, or even other DT albums...

....but it's soooooooooooooo hard!!!!!!!!

But FFH is the calm before the storm. The moment where you can catch your breath. The lead-in to Breaking All Illusions: the climax of the album!!!

Love it, BAI alone blows the previous two albums out of the water.

Yeah that was actually a compliment  :lol

My rating system is kind of weird, though. I usually judge a whole album solely based on its highlight(s). For example: If a band puts out a record that's full of filler tracks but has one really killer song on it, I ignore the filler and cherish the killer. If the same band then continues to release an album full of solid material without a single filler, but on the other hand lacking a real killer, I won't like that album as much as the previous one, even if the overall quality of the songs happens to be significantly higher than before.

And that's exactly why I prefer SC over ADTOE  ;)

Really nice to see nobody actually hates it.

As for myself, it's the only thing I've been listening to in my car since it came out.  It's just that good.
