The people who post on Blabbermouth are ridiculous. Anyways, this is neat.

True, but there's a comment about MP auditioning which genuinely made me laugh out loud. :lol

Do you guys think any vocal style is acceptable? I am really good at Broadway/Frank Sinatra style singing, but... alas, I don't think that is what is popular these days  :lol

I am just worried that I could do amazing but no one would vote.

Well, people like Michael Buble seem to be successful doing something along those lines.  And there was a guy on America's Got Talent that did pretty well with a Sinatra-like style.

Hmmm, I'm thinking of doing Phantom of the Opera

If I posted a video on the 'Tube, would you guys critique me?

Jordan does sing. He's not bad.

And I love the fact that the prize is A SESSION WITH A MEMBER OF DREAM THEATER (and an iPad2)

Please critique!

NOTES: Yes, it  is very crappy quality, as it was recorded with the Rock Bank USB microphone  :lol
And second note, not to make excuses, but it is 10:51 at night here, and I'm tired, but the mood struck to do this.

The first song is the Gidget theme song from way back when, and the second song is a snippet from the Phantom of the Opera song (and yes I know I messed some lyrics up, once again, tired )

Flacracker

I thought this was going to be an actual TV show...

Sure most of you have seen this, but below is the link for JLB's American Idol tryout.

I wonder if LaBrie filed court papers when he heard about this.

1 out of 3.  Randy Jackson sang harmonies for Journey.  If you're going to be in Journey, you have to be able to bring it with some vocal harmonies.

Jackson IS the 1/3 of the judges who could sing. Who is the other one you are talking about?

Well technically, currently, Steven Tyler can sing. Regarding the original judges, its up for debate  :lol, but Paula Abdul could "sing."
