Hello everyone, let me just say that I haven't stop listening to this album since tuesday when I picked it up, it really is their best album since SFAM. I also got the DVD about the search for the new drummer and I found it really insightful to what they did to get a replacement.  That being said, we all know MP tried to come back to DT and if you see MM's reaction to the news that he was picked to be the new drummer you really couldn't just fire the guy just MP wanted back, he was so excited and was in tears for the news. I think it's refreshing to have someone so excited to play for us instead of MP saying how STALE DT has become for him. There was no going back once the picked MM and I'm very happy about that.

So Mr. Portnoy, thank you for leaving the band, in a way you made this great album happen!

I think a lot of us feel that way, but we have to stop talking about it and move FW. We've whipped this horse to  :xbones

I wonder though... do we know 100% that ADTOE would have been different with portnoy in the band.  That as Donald Rumsfeld would say is an unknown unknown.
