Oh wow, mangini made quite a mistake on the root of all evil. Forgot to play 4 measures in a break...

TAC

Thank you for taking the time to post your updates, Dech! :tup

Well, that was an awesome evening :)

That's funny. I would love to see a video of this screw-up. Probably wasn't that big

Estiui

I love Petrucci's face when he realizes   :lol

Not a big mistake, BTW

Elite

No, it wasn't big at all, merely a case of going to next part too early. It didn't matter in the end, but I saw it and with me I guess more people as well.

Too late! There's only a two bar interlude there, he wanted to play 4 bars. But doesn't matter anyway, he was spot on the rest of the show.

Elite

Indeed, he was too late there, sorry  :lol

Even weirder is that he decided to play the beat there halfway through the second time Petrucci played that riff, instead of at the beginning.

Yeah, that's pretty strange. But Jordan was sort of directing if I remember correctly. I think MM just wanted to make it 8 bars instead of 4, but Jordan made clear that MM should catch up.

Madman Shepherd

Mistake was barely noticeable.  James did sound a bit flat for the first part of the show.  Not that I care because he nails it most of the time.  God I hope they keep that song in the set when they tour the states again.

Finally James is hitting the climatic F#/G at the end of Pull Me Under, like he used to in ye olde good times. It had not happened since 97, if I'm not mistaken.

Nice job, James  :tup

Melimelo

True that James was pretty good yesterday!
He's improving each time more...

For the mistake of MM, I think almost everybody realized... at least around me.. but... that's what makes them be human beings!

BTW, are there bass or keyboard players over here?

Finally, I've been waiting for that for a while.  :metal

Elite

I can play bass, if need be, but I'm primarily a guitarist.

Why you askin'?

And that high note on Surrounded

Elite

I didn't think the 'hold' was that good to be honest.

The 'I ONCE could see, but now at last I'm blind', was awesome though.

That's too bad. It did sound pretty bad.... Recovered though and everything is fine

DreamerTV

Since i can't understand it from the videos on YT, how many people were there?.

ResultsMayVary

That wasn't that big of a screw up. It wasn't like a beat that was completely different, just a continuation of the previous one. The recovery was brilliant, though. If JP kept playing as if nothing was wrong, it probably wouldn't have been as noticeable.

Ha! We are looking for a bass player and a keyboard player for our music project, that we'd like to turn as a band, hm.
We are a singer (myself), a guitar player and a drummer (aged from 20 to 23, from Rotterdam and Delft). We want to compose, play, kind of rock progressive with metal influences, we'll say, and female vocals..

If someone's interested.... MP  :hat

Nihil-Morari

Sorry, but I get the biggest laugh out of the comments. There are some stupid people on this world.

Nihil-Morari

Haha, I don't know your real name, but people claiming that James sounded awesome, or great are tone deaf. I'm aware that James sounded better than he did the last couple of years, but it was nowhere near 'good'.

John94

Did they call TSCO pissy? And Labrie weak? James has been on fire, even with a bit of an illness.

Millais

James has been sounding amazing in the past year. Not sure what you're talking about.
