I'll try to be there, not a hundred percent certainty, but I'll do my best  ;D Anyone else form Poland?

The Silent Cody

Of course that I will be there!!! There is no other way, Dream Theater and Periphery on one stage - killing evening. Just can't wait til friday for ADTOE and even can't wait more for 29th of January!!! :metal :metal :metal :metal :metal :metal :metal :metal

Liberation

DT in Poland = even Chuck Norris won't stop me from coming.

The Silent Cody

I'm glad that it's Poznań this time ;) My latest trip to DT show in Katowice this year was exhausting :P I'm from Gdańsk, so You can imagine ;) anyway, Arena is a great venue, I was there in 2005 during Octavarium Tour, I'm looking very forward to this ;)

John94

I don't want to get hopes up but as I mentioned in another thread, this date is the 10 year Anniversary of the release of SDOIT. I wonder if there will be any special performances.

Wow I didn't know, it would be nice if they performed something extra :D
I wish they played 24.01 -JM's birthday  :P

BTW I wasn't at Octavarium tour (my brother and my father were). What do you prefer - Spodek or Arena?

The Silent Cody

Definitly Arena in Poznań, maybe it's not so spectacular, but the sound as I remember was way better than in Katowice.

smerfak

I'm asking because a few friends told me that the sound in Poznań was not so great ;b But they weren't in Spodek on DT so there's no comparison. I didn't like the drum sound in Katowice (my dad was on Deep Purple with Orchestra and it was fine then).

Anyway, I'd go on Dream Theater even if they played in barn xD

The Silent Cody

Yeah, me too ;) anyway, I prefer Poznań and Arena more than Spodek in Katowice ;)

Liberation

I'm actually from Katowice so I really liked it that they played here, but well. :lol Never been on a concert to Poznań yet, but fortunately it's very easy to get there by train so it won't be much of a problem, there are direct trains there if I remember correctly. (It was far more difficult to get to Bydgoszcz for PN09.)

There You go Polish fans ;) something I made up yesterday, it's a test for me how many of us will be interested. If it will be good, I have some cool ideas to create a real good prospering Polish fanclub. Maybe offtopic a little here, but concert in Poznań would be a great test if we could we could meet and do something nice ;)

smerfak

I'm in. Haha nice title  :P and great idea. Have my support all the way.
Goosh I want to go to a concert so badly  ;D For me it would be best if they played in Łódź, but nevermind, Poznan or even Katowice are not so far away  :P

Liberation

Unfortunately... I don't have (and I hate) Facebook. :lol

The Silent Cody

Liberation

Yeah, 130-140 is pretty usual. Not really cheap but... not so scary.

It's the train tickets I'm more afraid of but oh well. :p

The Silent Cody

Yeah, I'm scared more of riding the train than the tickets prices :P I hate trains...

Liberation

I like it and definitely got used to it, but the problem in Poland is that you either travel for cheap in an old and ugly train without reserved sitting places so you don't know where you'll end up, or in a great, modern train with everything awesome but with tickets going well over 100 PLN.

The Silent Cody

Definitly true  :| and more, if someone sitting next to You is eating an egg... :P haha ;) anyway, I found TLK train from Gdańsk, it costs 52 PLN one side in class 2 of course ;) not so bad ;)

smerfak

Fortunately I'm going by car with my father/brother so it wouldn't even pay off to go by train.

Hmm I wonder what the setlist will look like in January : P

Dynia

I will try to be there, though it's a long ride from my place to Poznań.

sunseeker

Hype alert - guess which 10th anniversary we'll be celebrating on the 29th  :omg: I am officialy psyched.

sunseeker

Anyone taking the 11 o clock train from warsaw? I'm going alone so maybe anyone fancy some company before the gig?

Due to technical difficulties and unforeseen circumstances Periphery will not be able to play tonight before Dream Theater in Poznan. We are really disappointed as it is out of our control. We will try our best to come out and play for you in the future. Love, Periphery.

I think we can probably rule out the whole of SDOIT then ;)

Periphery clarified their statement on that same status that the stage construction had a problem, and when that problem was resolved, there was no point for them to set up and play. It would have interfered with DT's time. However, this still leaves an extra possible 20-40 minutes for when Periphery would have used to set up, that DT could use for additional song(s).

I doubt we'll see any changes, but one can hope. Hopefully the people who went to the show can report back asap.  :)
