I don't know about "best" -- that's purely subjective, but Images and Words, Scenes from a Memory, and Awake are the three Dream Theater albums I play the most often, and in that order. Bravo to the original poster.

Not really for me.

Take off Awake. Take the weak songs from FII, put on some of the demos and I think FII would be top 3.
