I just realized something about the BItS teaser, I wish the phrasing on "seen" would be different. So instead of "SEEEEN" it would sound better IMO with "SEEN BLA(random word).

I don't think (hope) that they will release a Far From Heaven 1-min sample, that would be like most of the song.

It's 4 minutes long, short by 4 seconds. That's nowhere near most of the song.

I think that a one minute sample from Far From Heaven is way too much. Its may not be half of the song, but the teaser should still take a much smaller fragment for it to be just a teaser.

True, and they never said how long each sample would be. It could end up only be 30 seconds, or, they may not release a sample of FFH at all.

As I remember BITS teaser was revealed in Friday.... so it probably will be a day after tomorrow

I don't really understand any of the complaints about the guitar tone. I don't find it all that much different from Petrucci's usual tone as of late.

Yeah, JP's tone is fine. Maybe a little over-prominent in the general mix, but that's a different story.

Sounds fine to me. To me it sounds softer in the mix, and less gated and with a good frequency range (rather than losing the lows and mids) than the previous two albums. And we're judging on a Youtube clip after all.

Yeah "most of the song" was more of an overstatement but it seems like wammabe got my point.

I think the riffs have an intricacy to them that has been lacking lately. I like it! Myung is powering his way through the mix too. Even when the vocals start, the atmosphere remains.
