Quote from: Stadler on February 08, 2025, 12:49:43 PMI wouldn't argue this.

Please tell me that guy got the whole show. THAT would make a great DVD!

Don't know about the whole show but there are more videos in the suggestions sidebar. So far I've seen The Great Debate, Peruvian Skies, and Through my Words/Fatal Tragedy

Love how all the comments are in the language of whatever country the show is in...

Although on the plus side - you  don't have to see people calling each other " F---ing C---s " every other comment  ::)

Blackfield

No not the biggest crowd but they could move the stage forward to give the more intimate feel.

Mladen

That's quite a large venue there...  ;D

They might as well come to Serbia, we would gather just as many fans.  :)

I just hope they keep either LTL or Metropolis in the sets until they get to the UK. I'd be so disappointed personally if I didn't get to see either of my 2 favourite songs live :blush
Whoaaaahh, ohhh, ohhhhh. Whoaaaahh, ohhhhh, ohhhhhh. Waaah, ahhh, haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaowwwwww

The stage was about 5 metres from the crowd, so it was not that close to the band.
But the main point was that the fans were really devoted, singing all the songs (though not a big persentage of Ukrainians know English that good), the atmosphere was great! That was the first time DT came to Ukraine so we were craving to see them and gave a hot welcome, although there were not so many of us. Moreover, when LaBrie introduced Mangini to the audience, the crowd couldn't help welcoming him to the family. We were applauding and chanting "Man-gi-ni" for about a minute or two untill LaBrie interrupted us  :)
Even John Petrucci posted on facebook "Awesome audience tonight in Kiev! We must come back again soon!"
I hope this will come true!!!

Agreed, I've never heard anyone play that double layered fill live before. Mangini totally rocks.

Is it safe to say that this is the best the band has sounded since te mid 90s or if not since Score?

One thing I notice is that Mangini keeps the tempo closer to the actual recorded songs. It's like DT are no longer rushing.

phentalmyst

yea there was an interview of MM (i think) where it was stated that DT wanted to use the cd tempos...
