So Guys tomorrow, the next DT show. Dream Theater concert is scheduled for first day of Sonisphere :

15h25 / 15h55 – RISE TO REMAIN –  scène Saturn
15h55 / 16h35 : BUKOWSKI – scène Appolo
16h35 / 17h15 : SYMFONIA – scène Saturn
17h20 / 18h00 : BRING ME THE HORIZON – scène Appolo
18h10 / 18h50 : EVERGREY – scène Saturn
19h00 / 19h50 : MASTODON – scène Appolo
20h00 / 21h00 : GOJIRA – scène Saturn

Slipknot got half an hour more than Dream Theater?  :yeahright
Well... the festival laws are brutal IMO... so many great bands in here... Second day is reserved for The Big 4, so Sonisphere makers had to put all these great bands in one day... That is tough task...

Dreamer81

i can see why, but Slipkot doesn't deserve more time than DT...no way!!

TAC

Quote from: wkiml on June 08, 2012, 09:06:35 AMwould have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Quote from: Stadler on February 08, 2025, 12:49:43 PMI wouldn't argue this.

The Silent Cody

DT actually is playing before Airbourne but on the other stage I think...

"21h10 / 22h10 : DREAM THEATER – scène Appolo
22h20 / 23h20 : AIRBOURNE – scène Saturn"

That would be ridiculous if DT were support for Airbourne... 10 minutes break between bands is probably for people to get from stage to stage....IMO

I hear Slipknots performance is getting streamed.

Does anyone know if the whole show is or just Slipknot?

They're not. They're second only to Slipknot. The Saturn stage is about half the size of the apollo at most sonispheres.

Interesting that in 2011 the headlining acts are all 80's metal acts.  What a grip the 80's still has on metal.

That's actually great... Magic ;) Metal music in general is one and only, people will always come back to it.

edit: I'm wondering which songs will not be played tonight, since They only have 1 hour time... I think that These Walls, Forsaken, Caught In A Web and TCOT, also the drum solo could be out for today... Maybe new setlist?  ;D

How many minutes to Psycho?

Oh, how I glad I am that we're probably not getting stuff like that anymore.

Does anybody knows how's the weather in France ;) ? Because here in Poland it's raining like hell... Rock Juice time for sure!!! Two please !!!  :metal :metal

chrisbDTM

so they should be going on in like 5 or so minutes right?

setrataeso

Oh god, I hope Mangini doesn't do a drum solo on the shorter shows. I would actually be really pissed if they bumped off a song in favour of a 4-minute Manginsterbation seesion.

Damn, I really wondered what the shortened setlist would look like.

The Silent Cody

No news...French forum, setlist.fm...silence... there are no DT fans in France??

Darkmeteor

Guess what, I'm back from that show

about the setlist :
Under a glass moon
These Walls
Forsaken
The great debate
Fatal tragedy
Caught In A Web
On The Backs Of Angels

I forgot when they played CIAW, but it was not before OTBOA

about the show :
The PA had 3 short 2 second cuts, which sucked, especially when it happened during the UAGM intro, when Petrucci noticed he put his arms in the air... Jordan should disable his iPad interface sounds, because they were played through the PA, 2 times I heard the usb cable connection sound, wtf... and James has really a hard time hitting all the very high notes, just like the previous shows

edit : by the way this is my first post, I have read for a long time but never regged, and I'm from the french forum

robwebster

According to YtseJam France, it went a bit like this...

Donc pour la très courte setlist (pas d'ytse jam, snif) :
Under a glass moon
These Walls
Forsaken
The great debate (je l'ai en vidéo)
Fatal tragedy (enchainée avec the great debate)
Caught In A Web
On The Backs Of Angels

j'ai rien oublié ?

Or, translated into English, "Under a Glass Moon," "These Walls," "Forsaken," "The Great Debate," "Fatal Tragedy," "Caught in a Web," and "On the Backs of Angels."

EDIT: Ah! Beaten to the punch.

Was he really struggling? You know, for what we know he pretty much nailed the last two shows...

... And welcome to DTF! Bienvenue!

Darkmeteor

Well I think he's mostly struggling with under a glass moon, or maybe it's just because they play it first .. I recorded TGD, my iphone is in the process of uploading it
