A short statement before I go to bed. And it should be a conceptual one including subtle revisits of a few of each album's themes. Oh, and guest appearances of all members that have left -or will leave (?)- the band. Goodnight :hat

"A Theater of Dreams" doesn't really sound like a concept that Dream Theater would do. It's way too different.

They should do a 2 disc concept album about dreams and the last song should be called Limbo, which fades out for 30 minutes.

It's a bit of a self-fulfilling thing. With such a shoddy name and concept nobody would buy the followup album, so that one would be by definition their last.

A better name for an album like that would be "Curtain Call". It fits pretty well.

And the last part of the last song would be a modern and more epic verion of the opening to A Fortune In Lies, their first studio released song ever.

That one kicks alot more ass! Ayway I thought of this title cause DT have presented us a huge variety of music so perfect and expressive and combined with the lyrics the listener can dream of different worlds quite vividly. Like watching a great movie or a great play. Like all their songs are acts from a musical play. Hence "A Theater of Dreams".

A Theater of Dreams isn't a great name, IMO, and we don't need any more of those.

I would be amused if they titled one of their albums Dream Theatre.  Would that count as self titled?

I don't know...they aren't really BAD titles, just "not great" titles.
"A Dramatic Turn of Events"? I have been reffering to the album title as "ADTOE" around here because I can't bear to say the real name.  :mehlin
I know, it's pathetic, I just think 'A Theater of Dreams' would be too predictable.
