I searched but I couldn't find a Myung appreciation thread anywhere, so here we go.

So I was listening to Solitary Shell with headphones last night, and I don't know if it was the drinks I'd had or what, but I suddenly realized that Myung's playing on that track=damn!!

I'd never really payed attention to the basslines in that song before I guess, but that's some straight up Geddy shit!  Also felt a bit of a Tony Levin vibe too (probably subconsciously because of the whole Peter Gabriel/Solsbury Hill thing).

Anyway, appreciate The Silent Man's playing on that track, or just him in general!  Dude may not be able to talk or make more than one facial expression, but mother f can he play the bass guitar!  :hefdaddy

The entire SFAM is full of gem basslines.

Overture 1928 is but one example.

He's had great moments throughout the  discog but WDADU is awesome bass.

In the name of God has killer bass lines :metal

I thought about this today, that song has some serious bass grooves.

I love it when he the bass is its own instrument, not just some tool to make the guitar sound more powerful. I want this album to at least have 1 bass solo, like the ones he had in TDOE and Metropolis pt.1

I like part when JP and JR play exciting solo and JMX just relaxes this part, I can't explain :\

He certainly keeps the groove :)

I hope he's more existent on the new album. He's barely there in BC&SL. What dominate bass player he needs more recognition.

He's got killer lines on Take the Time. The live version from Chaos in Motion in Bangkok you can really hear him. He's gettin' off!
