Not everyone suspected it. Tons of people threw things around about Thomas Lang, whateverhisnamewas Priester, and a little John Macaluso. Also, some people still thought it was CharlieZ, there was the MP's coming back conspiracy theory, and the DT hasn't actually found a drummer conspiracy theory.

Listen to the drums on Elements of Persuasion. Obviously I think he'd change up his style for DT, but I'd think it gives us an idea of what he likes to do.

Trunk has connections in the industry. It's completely possible he knows something we don't. His second tweet on the subject feels like the backpedal. First he says with relative certainty Mangini's the drummer. Then in the next tweet, he acts like he doesn't know in a way that completely ignores the tone/implication of the previous one.

So why would you assume he only knows as much as we do?
