. . . as well as some T-shirts.  I had a question about the DrumCam DVDs though.  I'm not a musician by any means, but I still find these to be pretty interesting.  The only one I own is SysDRUMatic Chaos and I found that to be okay.  I see some of the others (The concert DVDs, especially) have commentary and was just curious which ones would probably be the most interesting to watch for someone who's not completely into drums.

I enjoyed drumavarium, but that is the only one I've seen

Anything with commentary.  MP mentions some interesting facts about the process and his perspective is interesting to hear.

If it's an album or live DVD you like the songs on, I'd think there's a higher chance you'd enjoy watching him play them.

The Six Degrees DVD is interesting.  Some of the songs use old drum takes recorded with the cam-mic under the guitar/bass/keyboard/vocal tracks, giving you a chance to hear some of the earlier ideas for the songs.

TAC

Budokan and Score are both worth it for the commentaries alone. He talks about a ton of stuff during the shows.
Quote from: wkiml on June 08, 2012, 09:06:35 AMwould have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related

I've never played drums, but I was thinking about getting Budokan and ToT, because it's got some great drumming on it.

Does it seem kind of weird that it's DT Drum DVDs only? Maybe I'm paranoid, probably am. I just don't want these to be out of print after this since I want to buy them later down the road.

Better get them now, the commentaries by MP are worth it. I got them at the full 25 plus s/h, which I think the total was 31 or 32 bucks each.

My favorites are the concert ones.

I have them all and I'm not a drummer and I do recommend getting them, even if you are not a drummer.

But where exactly down the road would you buy them? I don't think MP's taking his drum DVDs to the Nearl Morse concerts because well, it's a Neal Morse concert.

I don't think MP will reprint them..maybe a few years after IF he ever rejoins DT. But imo, this sale means he just wants to get rid of them and move past anything DT related.

I don't know when I'd buy them. I might do it right now...

The Letter M

I went ahead and bought the 5 I didn't already have (LAB, Drumavarium, SCORE, SysDrumatic Chaos, and BC&SD) - at half-price, how can you NOT get them?! Also, being a drummer, I was definitely going to get these at some point, but being 50% off just sealed the deal for me to get them now.

It also helps that I got my State and Federal tax returns last week, so I've been "catching up" on some soon-to-be-purchased items. :hat
