Inspired by another thread. This one asks the big questions.

We all know Mike had a lot of control when it came to Dream Theater. I don't think it's unreasonable to assume that, at some point, he bought the rights to John Myung's name.
What would the ramifications be? Would this damage John Myung's ability to apply for a fishing license, or order products online?
Would he have to change his appearance, as Mike no doubt has his image trademarked for making cardboard standies?

Obviously die hard fans will still buy records he plays on, but you have to figure it will make it more difficult to follow his discography, since he won't be able to put the name on it that we're all used to.

I don't understand why Mike would want to keep the rights to JMX's name anyway, aside from the obvious cost savings for dressing room door signs.

Perpetual Change

This is the most bizarre night I've ever decided to spend on DTF. I've learned a lot. I do think it will be the last time I do this in awhile.

How do you think I feel, its daytime where I am! :tick2:

Your thread was funny(although it was hard for me to laugh)
This is just annoying redundancy.

Yeesh, you try to provide people with a small laugh, but then, so much hostility.

Really? Bosk called the last thread spam and locked but you still saw fit to think another one was a good idea?
hilarious.

I didn't read the other one beyond the OP.
It's a thread created with the intention of providing people with a small chuckle. It's not meant to offend anyone. If someone doesn't think it's funny, they can ignore it. It will probably be off the front page in less than a day, I really don't see why you're so offended.

I'm sorry that, over a small, lighthearted joke, multiple people feel the need to get disproportionately angry.

I thought it was still kinda funny, but I don't think this was a good idea. Like tick said, one of these kinds of things was already locked. :P

You should have.  And the fact that it was locked should also have been a clue.  I can't tell you how hard I'm restraining myself from banning you right now.
