Will DT do another concert in Holland? Because I'd like to see them in Ahoy Rotterdam or something where they have their own show :)

DreamerTV

Daniel Jacubovic, Jr's friend and great multi instrumentalist, will be the opening act for DT in Tel Aviv

Here one of his song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dsRAWTYyG08&feature=player_embedded#at=209

Seeing DT in Israel with some buddies soon.  :metal  ;D  :hefdaddy  :tup

When do you think they'll start the US tour? I see that the Euro tour finishes up on August 5. So maybe they'll take a 3-4 week break in prior to starting the US tour?

SystematicThought

Just thought that this was an appropriate place for this.

Mike's former drum tech Eric Disrude is gonna be the drum tech for Mangini. I liked Eric, he seemed cool. Jose I didn't like so much....

MAN WHERE ARE THE TOUR DATES????
All of the announced dates are on the first page of this thread.  I doubt they announce any fall dates until closer to album release.

I mean the actual tour seems like its just some shows right now but not an actual tour.

cyberdrummer

This is how the world tour has started for the last six years, though: a festival tour in Europe with a few headlining shows interspersed. I'm sure the US headlining tour will be announced in due course.

Great, he's a nice guy indeed. But somehow I thought it would be Magee again, since MM mentioned him in the Drumhead interview. Well, I guess not.

John94

Does anyone know if the set-lists will be recorded because didn't MP.com used to record them.

According to Jordan on Vokle, then it should be about October-ish, when they are touring the US with the album.

A guy from MP's forum said he got an email about the New Jersey date:

October 11th at the Community Theater in New Jersey

Yeah, people are getting the mass emails about local dates in their areas.  I'm trying to get the full schedule so we can post it here.

From Roadrunner

Dream Theater have announced the first run of tour dates in support of their new album A Dramatic Turn of Events, due out September 13.

The album marks the recorded debut of new drummer Mike Mangini, and it will be available in multiple versions that will be sure to delight the band's avid fans. In addition to the standard version, there will be: a special edition CD/DVD set including The Spirit Carries On, a 60-minute movie documenting Dream Theater's much-discussed drummer auditions; a double-LP set in a gatefold jacket; and a Limited Deluxe Collector's Edition Box Set. The box includes the album, instrumentals of the entire album, the DVD of The Spirit Carries On, the vinyl version, a Dream Theater turntable slipmat, and a litho print of the cover art. Also, 50 lucky winners will find a Dream Theater 'Ticket For Life' randomly inserted into the packaging. All the content will be housed in a custom box, and those who purchase will receive a digital download of the album 24 hours prior to release.

"It's a really cool collection dedicated to the art and music of our forthcoming release, along with a few awesome goodies," guitarist John Petrucci says.

Dream Theater are also planning to embark on a massive world tour, where they will play selections from A Dramatic Turn of Events, as well as classic staples and fan favorites. Labelmates Trivium will appear on many dates, supporting their new album In Waves.

"We are all very pumped about the release of  A Dramatic Turn of Events this September, as well as the world tour we'll embark upon in support of the album," said Petrucci. "Our first leg will bring us throughout North America where we'll showcase songs from the new album along with tons of  fan favorites and a brand new tour production unlike any other that we've done before. We're equally excited to have our friends in Trivium join us. It's sure to be an incredible tour. We're looking forward to seeing all of our friends on the road this fall!"

10 day gap between NY and FL. Really hoping a NC date is between there.

Tripp

If no Arizona date is announced, I will do some things.

And those things may not necessarily be good things, either.

Probable. Along with Philly, DC/Baltimore, and Atlanta.

Adami

I really hope they come to Indonesia and/or Chile.

And by that I mean Chicago.

Jarlaxle

I hope they get to more of Canada, I really can't afford to travel to Vancouver or Toronto to see them, but I will if I have to.

wasteland

Beacon Theatre? I was hoping for a MSG show :-\

Do you think there could be a second American leg, maybe in the first months of 2012?

Ben_Jamin

Please, Please come to New Mexico. I've got a question, how big are these venues?

Usually can seat a couple thousand, a lot usually have different sections. The venue I saw DT at last time, had: A Large pit, large, covered seating area (largest section), outer seating section (my location), and lawn seats.

I think my venue could hold over ~10,000 maybe. But it all differs, but I'd say smallest could hold more than 3k+

DramaticEvents

Oh yeah man, a show in Quebec AND Montreal! I might assist to both :metal
I can see that happening. I could skip the last class on Friday, get to Montreal and go to the show. Saturday, I would come back to QuebEb for the second show.
That'd be so nice!

chrisbDTM

please CT date. isnt looking good, unless they hook up north a bit after nyc

SystematicThought

Probably will be a Minnesota, Chicago date by the Vancouver dates.

For the love of God, they go to Michigan but no MN or Illinois

Jamesman42

Funnily enough, the Clearwater show is without Trivium, AND I believe Trivium started in FL. Since it's a Saturday, looks like I'll be going to that one.
\o\ lol /o/

ResultsMayVary

I'm not really happy their isn't an Ohio date. I can't afford to go to Pittsburgh during the week when classes are in session. Fuck. >:(

Aniland

YES. The Clearwater show, where I've always seen them, DOESN'T HAVE TRIVIUM. Oh my god, yes. What great news.

Deve

Am I the only one who really likes Trivium's lead singer as a clean singer but hates his screaming? If they got a better screamer, someone with a voice like Akerfeldt or Tommy Rogers, I'd be sold on this band. The dude's screaming is just so...generic, nothing really unique. And I really don't like that type of screaming, not because so many bands do it, but because I find it really annoying haha.

I will help you.

Dublagent66

Ok, just got an email on the NA tour dates and I don't see Phoenix.  This will be the 2nd tour in a row without a Phx date.  :wtf:

DT hasn't signed on to protest AZ for SB1070 have they?
