What vocalists (Other than Labrie of course) do you think would be interesting mixes into certain DT songs?

I've always thought it'd be cool to hear In the Name of God with Bruce Dickinson, or Home with Serj Tankian.

ZKX-2099

M. Shadows on Metropolis.

Claudio Sanchez on Learning To Live.

Came to post this. I think he'd be perfect for the song.

Mladen

I'd like to hear Bruce singing Peruvian skies.

Martinman300

Bruce on Metropolis.
Russell Allen on A fortune in lies

Zantera

I would love to hear Bruce Dickinson doing some DT-songs.
In my spare time I make music! Check it out. :)

moffatt

Mikael Ã…kerfeldt on Portnoy's lead part in ANTR.

O wait :p

Seriously though Mikael doing some clean parts like he did repentance was truly epic. I can imagine him doing The Mirror would be amazing or even This Dying Soul.

antigoon

I don't really like his music, but I think Daniel Gildenlow would sound cool singing some DT songs.

PowerSlave

Ray Alder on just about anything from DT would be interesting.

Dark Master Of Sin

Mitch Lucker on the growls in The Dark Eternal Night and MPs part in ANTR.

Russel on Metropolis and Fatal Tragedy.

Bruce Dickinson on anything.

OperantChamber

James Hetfield on This Dying Soul

Though the music is slightly similar, I seriously can't see Geddy handling most of those vocals at all.

I just wanted to throw Geddy Lee into this thread... now if we're talking modern Geddy, yeah, I'd agree. He might have problems with some of the vocals. If we're talking 2112-era Geddy, I think he'd have a good chance.

Maybe on some of TBOT. But Learning to Live? Nah.

Dark Master Of Sin

Jack Black on Learning to Live, and at the WOOAHHH part he can make funny noises at the end of Tribute.

Now that's an interesting thought...

Anyways, I can't believe no one here has considered Doug Pinnick singing "Lines in the Sand!"  That would be awesome :neverusethis:

AwakeFromOctavarium

Seriously, Scarred with Daniel Gildenlow or Russell Allen would be epic.

However I think Claudio Sanchez on LtL would be a good idea.
Also, Russell Allen on The Killing Hand and Vince Cavanaugh in Lifting Shadows off a Dream.

BTW haven't I seen this post before?

The rough parts would sound great with Russel Allen on vocals, but I'm not quite sure of the clean parts. While Russel Allen's melodic voice is amazing (Paradise Lost), I don't think he would achieve JLB's performance in terms of tone and clarity. He would do a terrific job, nevertheless.
