Just saw Final Destination 5, just for old times sake cause I was an avid fan of the first and second movie. I was pleasantly surprised with the FD5, it's not as good as the first one in depth and cleverness but it's as good as the second one in coherent story telling and development. This was nice since the 3rd and 4th movies were so damn awful.
FD5 is a prequel to the franchise that ties in nicely with the story of the first film. The blood doesn't look fake anymore like they did in FD4, which was comic.
Still, like every movie in this franchise except the first one, it focuses on the gruesomeness of the deaths instead of the philosophical aspect.

The great part is they got some actual names for that movie. Not top line names, but actors most people will have heard of. Barry Bostwick, Bruce McGill, Ray Wise, and others I didn't know by name but recognized them from other roles on IMDB. Guess I found what I'm watching on Netflix tonight.
