I do not like the new iphone. I mean, ok it's slightly bigger, lighter and faster but it's not a huge step for 5. Actually, Samsung Galaxy phones and probably new Nokia have better technology.

I'm not trying to sound like a fanboy, because I'm not. But from my experience, those companies don't utilize that technology. The line seems to be drawn between Apple, who perfects and squeezes every drop out of a technology, and other companies, who just go for the most horsepower. Lots of power doesn't mean shit if you can't use it well. It's like a Dodge neon SRT4.

I love posts like this. I get a kick out of watching people get so riled up over a phone. Anyone ever notice that the ones who make the biggest deal out of it/hate on the device and its users the most tend to be very uneducated? Just an observation. Today, the internet is filled with hatred, disgust, hostility, and anger... all over a fucking phone! I don't get why so many people take this shit to heart. It baffles my mind. People go out of there way to belitte and insult another person because of which phone they prefer.... Are other countries like this with phones, or is it just America?

Glad I got my Galaxy SIII 2 weeks ago instead of waiting for this. The new iPhone looks cool, but I've grown partial to the latest versions of Android anyway.

My company uses iPhones = free iPhone for me.  I have no choice, so I don't complain about it.  With that said, I'm still only 6 months into my 4S so I will probably not even own an iPhone 5 since Apple seems to come out with a new phone almost every year now  :lol

I want the the new iPod touch but mine is not even a year old. I even waited to see if there was going to be upgrades but all that released last year was the iPhone 4S and iPod touch now comes in white.

Fuck you Apple for making significant upgrades after I get mine. Should be a put in your old one towards the new model!

I care about the hardware upgrades, mainly the camera going from 0.7 to 5.0, having an LED flash and the processor.

No, and I hope this observation is directed at all hyped phone hatred, and not just Apple. The point about Apple joining the 4inch screen and LTE specs finally is valid. Perhaps it is better to say a lot of people who spew Apple hate about the specs sound uneducated.

Well I have an Ipod touch that I bought in like......2009? 2010? Something like that. Will that have whatever software updates made available? Mine doesn't have a camera anyway so that doesn't bother me.

Also, did they announce a date I can walk into a store and buy the Iphone5? I've had a broken phone for a year or so waiting for this thing to come out.

I meant the cellphone war in general, not just those who bash Apple. There are plenty of "Fandroid" haters out there as well.

Sorry, 3GS onwards would be available for iOS6. Yeah, that model of your iPod is included, too. Pre-order on Friday and it sells on the 19th.

In my experience, people seem to hate on Apple more than any other company. Also, in my experience, these people do seem pretty uneducated and/or are just looking for something to hate.

This statement illustrates my opinion on Apple vs. everyone else incredibly well.

My issue with Apple has nothing to do with their actual technology, and everything to do with the fact that it's completely locked down with their proprietary bullshit and horrifically overpriced.

I agree with that. However, you get the trade off of everything working flawlessly across the board because every device is identical. There hasn't been a single app that I've downloaded on my droid that hasn't been bug free. At least half of them I delete immediately because they run like absolute shit.

Nothing too crazy.

Games.
Compass apps
Google Chrome
Photo editing apps
Sky Maps

etc...

There are so many apps that I have on both my phone and my iPod/iPad.... There isn't a single one that my idevice isn't far superior with.

So I can keep my existing Thunderbolt and unlimited data plan on Verizon.

-or-

I can wait three months to buy the iPhone at a subsidized price and lose my unlimited data plan (paying more money for less data)

-or-

I can buy the iPhone at full price and keep my unlimited data plan.

I use at least 2GB of data a month, more if I tether to my iPad. My max is 15GB in one month, and I really don't want to lose that option.

AT&T and Verizon suck so bad. I have AT&T. I am still unlimited since the first iPhone. But I know that will end soon.

Verizon is by far the best carrier on the market. It's not even close.

Yup, switched to them and never looked back. Their LTE network is faster and more robust than AT&T.

In the works. My big project at work is their LTE upgrade. Their spectrum sucks though so it's spotty at best.
