The Count of Tuscany, just got the part at 9:37 down: the guitar craziness right before the swells.

I think my next beast is TDEN on bass. I kinda sorta learned parts of it before, but then stopped learning it and kinda forget it now.

Currently jamming along with Dredg's 'Pariah'. Love the main riff, and the way the guitars sound. I really like that defined overdriven telecaster sound, in favor of the more 'metal-ish' sounds of distorted Ibanez or PRS guitars.

Learning various covers for a series of Unplugged shows my band is planning. Figured out Regression/The Spirit Carries On by ear. Trying to convince the bassist to learn Space Dye Vest on the keys. Toying with Halford's Silent Screams, Priest's Beyond the Realms of Death, a bunch of various Danzig related tracks etc. Just throwing out all the ideas of more mellow tracks but with a dark element to them. Any suggestions?

Images and Words. Been drumming to the album day after day and night after night. Everything but Take the Time I have down. It's just very tiring with the constant bass drumming. Kills the thighs.

I've only ever learned Wait For Sleep and Another Won on keyboards (I think?)
I'm gonna look for some more DT songs to learn soon. Suggestions?

Bump.

I just started Serpent's Kiss, by Symphony X. I probably won't get the solo down very well, but it's just a fun song to riff out to.  :metal

Im still just starting to pick up guitar, so I'm gonna start learning some Tenacious D songs.
Fun, simple, yet rocking. And plus most of the music is for acoustic guitar, which is all I have.

Working on most of Awake now.
It's basically just Erotomania, Voices, and LSoaD that I have yet to get down properly.

I feel somewhat inadequate after all of the crazy stuff you guys are learning, but the Sweet Child O Mine solo on guitar.  :blush I need to get batteries for my Wah once I've got it fully down, it sounds so empty otherwise.

I want to tackle These Walls, but apparently the tuning is Drop A. Is this accurate?

More practice using the bass drum and your legs will allow you to do that longer.

Since I like how well it flows, I'm learning Caught In A New Millenium. Pretty much got it all down, just need a couple fills here and there. I forgot, I'm learning it on Bass.

I want to learn more chords though for guitar so I can attempt to try Lindsey Buckingham - Go Insane acoustic.

Our other guitarist has been on a kick to get us to learn some country, because crowds will dig it.  As much as I hate country, I have to choke back my disgust and learn the damn tunes.  I know it will be for the best, as people WILL dig it (around here).  We're learning:

Brad Paisley - Online
Zac Brown Band - Chicken Fried
Trailer Choir - Rockin' the Beer Gut

I'm literally in hell.  That last song is likely the most ridiculous song I've ever heard, and that's even after having listened to "Satan Spawn (The Caco-Demon)" by Deicide.

A most excellent song.
Orion....that's the one with a bunch of power chords and boringly harsh vocals, isn't it?

Satan Spawn?  It's actually kinda funny - My brother and I were huge fans of Doom when it first came out on the PC.  And for long after, even.  If you aren't familiar, there's a huge floating one-eyed thing in the game called a cacodemon.  He told me he was on the way home from work, flipped the sattelite radio to the metal channel or something and this song just happened to come on.  He called me immediately.  The reference made him think of Doom, but the song had him laughing pretty much the entire time.  I am not capable of taking the song seriously at all, it's more an amusement factor.  Impressiive musicianship though, despite not being able to understand any of it.

On the other hand, "Rockin' the Beer Gut" is about a guy walking into a bar and being attracted to a chick with a beer gut.  It's one of the most pathetically godawful things I have ever been made to listen to.  Not to mention entirely unrealistic.

Currently, I'm working on Splintering Heart, King (both by Marillion) and Cut To The Chase (by Rush) on bass. Starting today, I'm going to transcribe the bass parts of the Marillion songs with Guitar Pro since I can't make out all the little fills spontaneously.
... And you ask me: "Where's my hairspray?"

Mentlegen.

For piano/keyboards
Wait For Sleep
Space Dye Vest

I'm also trying to compose something, it starts really slow at 5/4, A minor. I'll post a recording if I finish it.
