Naught is out on Amazon and iTunes, digital release only. CD on October 16th
Seen them live last week, I have very little time online nowadays so I'll try to make it brief. They played a set of 7 songs, 2 from the new album, one of them I asked Dominique about it about the show and found it was called Second Sleep, that freakin song gave me chills live man.
This is the first time ever that I go to a show to see the opening act, I went just for them and left after they were done as I wasn't interested in Katatonia or Devin and I really didn't have time anyway. But it was something new to go to a show with the opening act in mind and to be the only one -literally- there for Stolen Babies, I made my way to the front center of the small stage of that small bar/venue by telling people I'm just hear for Stolen Babies and I'll be leaving right after, I got to the front center, leaning on the rail and sung loud to the Squabbles songs, I was the only one doing that so I stood out so much that after Filistata Dominique pointed at me and smiled saying "Thank you for singing along!" and I smiled back and gave her an army salute for some reason
After they were done, they didn't have roadies to carry out their instruments so they were doing it themselves and I had my Squabbles CD on me so I called for Dominique to sign it for me and she said they'll come back out for me!
When they came back out they took the time to talk to me and hang out a bit, I told them I wanted to hear Year of Judges and So Close and they said their tour guitarist doesn't know that much songs yet but hopefully he'll practice more for the headlining tour. I also asked Sharone about the new album and what plans they have for touring, he said they'll be doing a lot of touring over the next couple of years.
Anyway just thought to take the time to give you fellas this quick update and even thank Sigz again for introducing me to this great band.
Naught is out and I'm on my second listen, too early for opinions but my first impression is that it's as unique as Squabbles and that it's very inviting to replay it again and again. I'll also be buying the CD when it comes out, if not for the quality then at least to support the band, but for now go buy the mp3s if you could, it's worth it.
EDIT: P.S: Dominique is a Rammstein fan, she mentioned it while signing my CD as a remark about my t-shirt
