Datsik is really good, more groovy dubstep, or as I like to call it: shufflestep, haha.
And Steve Aoki must be great to see live.

Yeah, seeing Warp 1.9 being played over a decent system in decent quality was nice, but biiiig system and original quality would be the shit. How about Gifted, he did that too right?

I made a thread about them a long time ago, but I'll pimp them out here, too: The Crüxshadows. Gothic, industrial, EBM, darkwave, classical, dance, synthpop, and violin with good vocals and lyrics.

Havent listened to them in a long time, but yes they are pretty cool.

Funny story: When I was in high school, I used to go to Best Buy and just by albums at random just to see what I would get. Cruxshadows Dream Cypher was one that I had gotten based on the cover alone. I got it expecting some sort of metal or rock, and needless to say, when I put it in my CD player, I was disappointed.

I mean, what was I suppose to think?

But after a while I listened to it some more (this time knowing what to expect) and thoroughly enjoyed it :tup

I like dubstep with lots o' bass and wubwubwubwubwub (see sig).
I only listen to electro-post dubprog.  You've probably never heard of it.

Ah okay. Personally I'm not a big fan, but that's cool. I know there's a few other dubstep fans around here.

I'll listen to it if it's on and really enjoy it but dubstep hasn't been something I actively seek out so far.

I'll admit sometimes I want to listen to Dragonforce.

Can anyone recommend more bands like Pendulum and Innerpartysystem? Like more song-based electronic music, with vocals etc.
I only like ablums that I can xanascholithoun.

So after listening to some dubstep, I've come to the conclusion that its just another name for the jungle and drum and bass type stuff I was listening to at raves 10 years ago. Not saying its a bad thing, I like some of what I hear... just don't see the need for a new genre name lol

This will be my 3rd year going however I don't think I'll make it to all 3 days, only the last two which sucks because I want to see tiesto.

I come back from Europe the Thursday before so I don't know if I'll be up for the 4 hour drive to miami.

I'm so ready for the new Orbital album.  The wait is killing me.  That becomes moreso with that post on Pitchfork with Zola Jesus on a guest vocal turn.

I actually felt bored by their performance at SNL.  For a couple of Jackson guitars and a Marshall 4x12 set of speakers, their sound was rather weak.  They should've tweaked their stomp boxes a bit to get the right effect for TV.

To be fair, most bands sounds like shit on SNL.

That's got to be the weakest of all guitar sounds I've heard on SNL though.  I think my favorite guitar tone coming off a performance from the show was when Fishbone did their thing.  Bands with acoustic guitars seem to have more favorable conditions at the show (see: Fleet Foxes).

I don't really watch enough SNL to be able to compare, all I know is that every live band I've seen on it (and most other late night shows) sounds terrible.
