Hey guys, I got to photograph one of my favourite bands last night. Scale the Summit played their first ever show in Vancouver.

Focusing was a pain in the ass last night so the shots aren't the sharpest by any means. But I'm still proud of these, especially the last one :) My first time as a photographer in the pit at a concert, so it was a growing and learning experience for me! Hope you like!

:lol I already know exactly what they sound like just by their haircuts...

I'm not much of a photographer, but this turned out kinda cool. From my hike Saturday evening.

I took many more. I must have stood on this rock for about 30 minutes, just watching the sunset. It was awesome.

7StringedBeast

Took a trip down to florida in April.  Got to take some pictures there.

Setting was everything for these.

I'm in love with that last shot

I cropped all these to 1920x1080, they make really good desktop backgrounds.  I have the chicken as mine right now.  If you want I could send you that last one.

El Barto

Not my work, but this seemed like the best place for this really cool picture.

Azyiu

Three crappy shots I took the other night.

First and last ones are awesome! I mostly like the middle one too, but it's a little wonky.

Anyway, a very improvised shot:

So, I was experimenting with my camera and one of those transparent discs that you always find when you buy a column of CDs. With the help of my father I could achieve an exceptionally good alignement with the led lamp behind and as such obtain the best diffraction pattern. Here's the result:

I am semi-serious, man. Well, honestly I think my stuff looks "decent" but nowhere near impeccable.  :hat

I was walking around Reading today when three WWII era planes swooped over the trees quite low - I barely had enough time to get out my 4S and start snapping.

However - i was able to get this extraordinary image : :)

Wow, that's a nice one! :tup

So, my old Canon 20D decided to give up on me. It gave me a lot of 'Error 99' that I couldn't get rid of. Tried cleaning the contacts on both the camera and my lenses but it didn't help. Went to the local camera store to get some help from the owner, but he said that I shouldn't bother sending it to Canon for repairs. It would be too expensive, plus it's over 12 years old.

So I decided to buy myself a new camera instead. I went with a Canon 1100D. I haven't taken any photos yet, but I'll be testing it out in the coming days. I'll be taking shots at a wedding next weekend, so I need to get familiarized with it and try the different settings. I'll be sure to post some shots here later on. It came with an 18-55mm lens, and I can use both my 50mm and 70-210mm with it as well.

Taken with 360 panoramic app - no colors altered. Pretty amazing view of a monsoon storm rolling into Phoenix on Saturday.

CrimsonSunrise

awesome shot!!!  My wife takes some great ones with her panoramic on her iPhone :)

Zydar

Okay, some first shots with the new camera.

I've had a lot of experience shooting & filming with a Canon 600D. I really like it.

Hey guys! I bought a Gary Fong flash diffuser the other day, and was testing out the white balance gels that came with it at the ocean today, This photo has no colour editing in it what so ever. Pretty nuts hey?

rumborak

That's pretty cool I have to say.

Looks like an online dating profile picture though :lol

Camping last weekend, we threw some "magic color" stuff into the campfire we bought at the campground.

I ordered some receivers for off camera flash stuff! I'm buying a soft box next week too! I'm stoked to try out some new techniques!

Right on!

It's too bad you ain't in Hong Kong, or else I can take you to shops for third party remote triggers, soft box as well as other lighting gears (all compatiable and work well with either Canon or Nikon cameras) for a ficition of whatever you are paying for now. To give you some idea, I got my remote trigger for just around USD 30, and a 12" x 12" soft box for USD 15 or so.  :hat

YtseCullen

I ordered the Yongnuo YN622c Triggers, and still debating on which Softbox speedlite kit to get.

New toy to play around with for the next week or so! Canon 5D Mk II! I'm using it to shoot a wedding this weekend! It's not mine its my friends but I plan on buying either this or a Canon 6D which is very similar to it! Excited :D

If your choices are between a 5D2 and a 6D, I would urge you to go for a 6D. After all it is newer, and it has a few features that not even the 5D3 can offer. Like the built-in GPS, which I kind of need and want it.
