Looking forward to seeing what you can do, dude.  ;)

Speaking of shooting with chicks, I actually can call upon these two friends of mine for shoots... yeah yeah, you might say I am full of excuses, but for some strange reasons I am just too lazy to do that.  :lol We will see...

You are too kind... I don't know what I am doing half the time.  :lol

Seriously, I am more interested, and feel more comfortable in shooting stuff like Cityscape, Still Life, Exterior, and/or Transportation then shooting a model. The latter is NOT easy, and I don't think I am half way decent at it. Plus, for what I wanted to create, I'd also need someone to do makeup, and/or helps on outfits. So we will see. I might just call up my friend and do a causal shoot.

Very cool story. A digital camera was lost in 2007 in Hawaii, traveled 6,200 across the Pacific ocean, was found in Taiwan six years later, and reconnected with its owner!

Not exactly photography related, but well, still related...

I've just upgraded my PC to a i7 3770 CPU, ASUS Z77-VLX2 motherboard, as well as 16Gb of RAM (not an online gamer, so this is good enough for what I do)! So when I opened up Lr4.4 and kind of played around there afterward, everything now runs sooooo FAST and SMOOTH! I was like, WOW!  :tup

What?! How did that happen?

I mean, where did your grandparents get that lens from? And how did the police find out it was first obtained illegally?  ???

Basically they bought it used from someone on craigslist, then apparently the guy who sold it stole it, then sold it on craigslist. The guy got caught, then told the police who bought it when he was caught, they got ahold of my grandparents, then they got in touch with me so I could give it to them to return the original owners.

But on a positive note I got my battery grip in the mail today!

Yes sir, and I do enjoy shooting planes in general.

Oh, and on second thought about those two shots I posted, I thought I went a touch too far with the vignetting effect. I should've toned it down a notch...

Well, it sucks for you, but if the lens was originally stolen then it is really not right to keep it anyway.

And how do you like using that battery grip? I've never owned one of those at all.

Yeah I wouldn't feel right keeping it if it was stolen, and honestly I absolutely love the battery grip. It's so cool! For someone who has a really small camera like myself I like the grip because it gives it a bit more of a substantial look and it's way more comfortable when it comes to shooting portraits!

I am interested to know at full power, how much longer can you keep shooting as compared to using just the one regular battery in your camera.

I'll have to experiment. But I'm not shooting at constant rate, so it's kind of hard to tell for sure. I barely have to charge my batteries anyway.

For what I do I really don't have a need for the battery grip. Having said that, if I can just get an external power supply of any kind for free or something; I think I would go for one for my speedlite. If I am not wrong an external power supply would re-charge the speedlite might quicker, thus allowing the flash to be used almost constantly with very little charging time. The trade of is of course lowering the life of the flash.
