I kind of want to rank the songs from highest to lowest, but other than Unfed Penudulm being my favourite I don't know where to rank the others.

Well, here's my attempt at a ranking.

1. The Quantum Symphony
2. Unfed Pendulum
These two are almost interchangeable, but I think I like The Quantum Symphony just a bit more I think.

3. Orange Vigilantes
4. Unsolved Ideas of a Distorted Guest
5. Silence this Parasite
6. A Fading Stance / When the Joyful Dead are Dancing / Until Yet a Few More Deaths Do Us Part (When the Joyful Dead are Dancing is my favorite part of the last three songs)
7. Words
8. Mechanical Phoenix
9. In the Mind of the Last Whale

Just downloaded the new album as I couldn't find anywhere which ships copies to the UK.

Listening to the first track now. I must say, I am very impressed. It doesn't seem as brutal but it's still brilliant so far. Some great music on display. I'll come back later when I have given it a full run through.

Thanks for the link but I just got it on their website via digital download. It was a bit cheaper too!

So far, The Quantum Symphony and Unsolved Ideas... are my favourite songs of the album. Excellent work I must say.

So, funny story. There i was, googling for what people thought of Devin Townsend's new albums. I came across this forum and walk away with around 231 new music recommendations. None of them were Dream Theater, which is peculiar to say the least.

Unexpect were amongst the names i picked up though, and the new album is now possibly my album of the year. Jesus christ, fantastic.

Yeah, I was wondering the same thing. I mean, I'm at ease now that I have the album, but I still wonder what ever happened to the video. Maybe they forgot it? I dunno.

Also the more and more I listen to this album, the more I think it just simply ties itself with IAFA as the greatest album in the universe.

There's something strange with that album. Unsolved ideas and Unfed Pendulum are my favorites, but i have NO idea how to rank the others songs. They're all great, don't get me wrong. Probably my album of the year, i again want to thank this lovely little thread for that. Now it's time to check out in a flesh aquarium, i heard it's even weirder.

Edit: Oh yeah, i made a friend listen to it and he was all "what the hell, this is like i'm being transported straight into a Tim Burton movie"

So they will release the videoclip shortly and are planning on shooting another one after that.

Also they're not sure if they'll find a replacement to Exod because live they play with a machine doing the keys and in studio both Syriak and Leïlindel are able the play the piano.
