Eh, I've never been one for music videos, really. King of Errors was one of the better ones that I had seen, and even that didn't do much for me.

However, this album still kicks ass. Definitely Top 3 Evergrey for me, along with The Inner Circle and Recreation Day.

Fucking awesome. I can't wait.

Although, I'm still baffled as to why they chose this for the next video. I love the song, but I'm just not sure it makes for a great video. I know there's added vocals just for the video, but
just how much can it really be?

Yea i'm a bit miffed about the song choice to but the video itself will be a continuation of the King Of Errors video.

This album I think is number 2 on my best of 2014 list.

Somehow I don't think your #1 is my #1...so what's yours?  This might be my #2 as well.

Don't think so.  Primal Fear.

I don't think so, but Evergrey has potential to take top spot, this album never gets old and boring.

I hate to say it, but I am very disappointed with the new video.  :-\

Oh, well. They still put out one of the most amazing albums I've heard in my entire life. Perhaps the next video will be better.

Video wasn't bad. Nice to look at, but not sure what it had to do with the song/album/band at all.

Uploaded oct. 17? The video been done for a while it seems. Anyway, even though it's a great song it's still the weakest on the album imo. The video didn't help that much.

The video is great, though maybe not the best song to put in this format. As for the quality of the song, I think it's one of the best songs on the album. The Fire, on the other hand, would have made for a great video.

I really don't know what they were thinking here. Nearly 8 minutes of non-stop slow motion video for a song like this?
And of course, where the hell was the band?!

I was hoping for more from this video.  For example, the helicopter sound effects weren't even brought to life visually.  To me, that's odd because they actually used a helicopter to film the aerial shots, so the helicopter was there.

Exactly. There's so much that could have been "brought to life" (as you put it) but it just didn't happen here. Visually, the whole thing is very monotonous and drags along.

I think that was the thing that disappointed me the most, because it's like the only expectation I had for the video.

Yes, but yesterday they were playing again in Holland.

I e-mailed the band's management about this and TOM himself actually arranged for us to get free tickets to the show yesterday!!

And they freakin' ruled! First time I saw them live and I'm so happy I didn't miss out on them!

And such a great setlist, they really played their asses off for maybe a hundred people.

Missing You / The Grand Collapse was definitely one of the highlights. And ofcourse A Touch of Blessing, which I feel is pretty much their best song.

And When the Walls Go Down.. holy crap that was awesome as well.

Haha thanks man. All I can say is catch them live when you get the chance.

The only live material I had seen was the excellent live DVD, this was my first time seeing them. They didn't have the string section and backing vocalists, but apart from that it was every bit as convincing.

Also pretty cool: After the show Tom gave a shout out to one of their roadies / sound guys Michael Hakansson. He said: That's actually the bass player from the DVD! I had to look twice, he looks quite 'normal' now. When he was in the band he had black hair and piercings everywhere.

But anyway, their relatively new bass player Johan Niemann is a complete and utter boss. He's actually an amazing singer! He sang super high backing vox during the gig that were just mind blowing, like really up in the female vocal range. Bizarre.

I'm trying to transcribe Missing You on piano, anyone know what kind of chord he plays at 0:47? I think the "blue note" is G.

Yes, it's a Bbmaj7, at least after the G becomes an A => Bb, F, (g->)A, D. That's the voicing I hear.. but I figured this out on guitar since I couldn't hook up my keyboard.
