Totally sold on the new single, and as a consequence I began to revisit In Seach of Truth, Recreation Day, and The Inner Circle. All were great listens, but The Inner Circle really is something special.
As for 'King of Errors', they really went all out on all fronts. The first verse had to be convincing right away: Tom's voice as we know it is back, almost stronger than ever. The chorus is anthemic as hell. Then just as you're getting into it, they're throwing a proggy curveball during the second verse with the TIC-ish vocal breakdown. The guitar solos are indeed shredfest to the max, but still there's plenty of emotion and feel to it. Somehow they know how to make it work. To top it off, there's that heavy as hell breaks in the outro. As if the song wasn't epic enough already.
This song has pretty much everything. I guess sometimes more actually IS more.
