Well if the band stated they were going to film multiple concerts and they can only film one in the USA (I dont understand that reason?) then it leads me to believe they will film at least one other concert somewhere else

I don't think the band is going to release it soon if this is the case.

Yeah...If that's the Union regs in the States then I would think they would record some stuff during the summer European shows.

Probably the exact opposite of many peoples -

Yours Is An Empty Hope
The Eyes of Sharbat Gula
Weak Fantasy
Edema Ruh
Endless Forms Most Beautiful
Elan
Our Decades In The Sun
Alpenglow
The Greatest Show on Earth
Shudder Before The Beautiful
My Walden

I guess I will throw out my initial song rankings, ive had enough listens now to form that much of an opinion although it could change:

1. The Greatest Show on Earth
2/3. Alpenglow/Edema Ruh - this is hard to decide now
4. Shutter Before the Beautiful
5. Endless Forms Most Beautiful
6. Weak Fantasy
7. My Walden
8. Our Decades in the Sun
9. Elan
10. Yours is an Empty Hope
11. The Eyes of Sharbat Gula

I think that is still fairly accurate although Alpenglow is a definite #2 now.

Yeah, but I still think they're going to throw some unexpected songs into the setlist at the following shows.

And I really hope they would announce some shows in Russia too. Missed them on Imaginaerum tour, don't want to miss them on this one.
This first band is Soen very cool swingy jazz fusion kinda stuff.

So, I was watching an interview last night on youtube and they were saying 2, I think, of these Finland shows were going to have the bands most ambitious stage production to date.  DVD material?  :metal

Eh, as much as I love it,I'd take another song over the long intro and outro in a live setting.

Umm....WOW......  1:07  .  Now I see what they meant by stage production!  Man!  I coulda given them some way better underwater vid to use, especially turtle clips!  >:(  Hopefully one of these large stage shows will be recorded for the DVD.

New tour dates added to website, including second NA tour. Sorry if this is old news, but it was news to me.

Wow.  2 things:

(1) Floor NAILS that.  Ann who?  Just WOW.
(2) You know, I didn't really pay all that much attention back in the day.  But listening to Heart's lyrics nowadays, I am struck by the fact that...well...they were sluts.  :lol

A lot of the songs from their big 1980's era of success was from outside writers.

FINALLY getting around to getting into this band.  I checked out a bunch of stuff on spotify and decided to buy "Once" a couple months ago.  Really liked it and it grew on me slowly.  I eventually recently got "Century Child." Holy crap, what a great album!!!  I have really been into Tarja and even bought some of her solo stuff (not as good as the Nightwish stuff to me, but still good).

I had never gotten into the other NW singers but have only tried on spotify and probly didn't like it cause spotify annoys me.  So on a whim I bought "Dark Passion Play." OMG, I can't believe how awesome this album is.  "For the Heart I Once Had" is amazingly stunning.

So far, I have 3 albums.  All very good.  I can't choose between Century Child and Dark Passion Play for a current favorite but I know I need more albums.

Imaginaerum is one of my favorite albums of all time. The story, the lyrics, the music—it is so epic and bombastic but also touching and real, which I think their music with Tarja definitely lacked. Their newest album, in my opinion, is also quite good. Miles above anything with Tarja, slightly better than Dark Passion Play, and not nearly as good as Imaginaerum.

Agreed! I hope for a live version. She nails it.

Don't know if you knew this, but there is a studio piano version of Floor singing it with After Forever:

Go with their two newest albums, Imaginarium (if you like DPP, you'll like this) and Endless Forms Most Beautiful (might as well go with the newest and maybe best of the three singers, and this is my personal favorite album).

Agreed. Especially Imaginarium is excellent (still have to watch that film and soundtrack to it).

EFMB has grown on me a lot by the way. Can't wait to see them later this year.

Great start, you have my top 2 NW albums (DPP and CC)  :tup But yes, go with Imaginaerum and EFMB next. Then feel free to venture to the early records
