Yea, he has been singing "The Gathering" with them, but he didn't do that at the beginning of the tour.  He actually sings on at least 3 other Delain songs that I know.

So, according to setlist.fm they've played The Poet and the Pendulum last night. So I guess there's a decent chance for it being featured later on tour and on DVD too.
This first band is Soen very cool swingy jazz fusion kinda stuff.

Really?! If true, that's awesome on both counts. Really hope they make the DVD. Two superb songs that I hope to hear Floor sing.

Somehow I missread it.  I thought they swapped out Poet for GLS, but turns out they played both, GLS as a 2nd encore.  Lucky Bastages!

So because of the survivor I've been relistening to albums with Annette, and I have to say that Dark Passion Play is really phenomenal. It might even tie Oceanborn as my favourite Nightwish album.

Imaginaerum, on the other hand, doesn't really excited me. Slow Love Slow is a really cool change of pace and Last Ride of the Day is pretty awesome, but the rest of the songs don't really have any staying power, and the moment they are over, I can't really remember anything about them at all.

What do you guys think about those two albums?

I love both albums actually.  I think the composition and idea of Imaginaerum is very impressive.  The 2 are in my top 4 NW albums without a doubt.

I'm not that fond of Dark Passion Play, it's a decent album, nothing more. Imaginaerum, on the other hand, is just outstanding in my opinion. It's my second favourite Nightwish album after Century Child. The only song I don't like that much is Scaretale.

I like both, but DPP is a step lower than most of the NW catalogue IMO.  It's not bad, just not as good as the rest.

Which leads me to some updated album rankings:

Endless Forms Most Beautiful
Once
Wishmaster
Century Child
Imagineareum
Dark Passion Play
Oceanborn
Angels Fall First

Wishmaster vs Century Child changes a lot though, those rankings depends on my mood and this reflects my current mood.

I love both albums with Anette. Imaginaerum is fantastic, like Evermind I would rank it second behind Century Child. I find it superbly creative and diverse.

I used to rank Dark Passion Play near the bottom, but the more I listen to it, the more I love it. The Poet and the Pendulum is probably my 3rd favorite Nightwish song, which is a hard thing to be. And there are tons of other really great songs on the album: Amaranth, Sahara, For the Heart I Once Had, Meadows of Heaven. The biggest misstep to me is Whoever Brings the Night, which is just decent, not great. Master Passion Greed is an unusual song for Nightwish, and it was tough to get into, but I like it alright by now. On the whole, Dark Passion Play ranks either third or fourth, but probably fourth, for me now—it's very close with Once.

Album Rankings:
1. Century Child
2. Imaginaerum
3. Once
4. Dark Passion Play
5. Oceanborn
6. Wishmaster
7. Angels Fall First

Still too early to say where Endless Forms Most Beautiful will fall, but I think it's most likely to come in fifth, just behind Dark Passion Play. Don't know for sure, though, because it could still definitely grow in the months to come.

What do you guys think about those two albums?

Pretty much the exact opposite of your opinion.  I rank DPP near the bottom of their discog, and Imaginaerum near the top.

Dark Passion Play starts off very, and I mean VERY impressive. But after four or five songs the level of quality drops off. I love the overall idea and concept of Imaginaerium but there are songs on there that are just off to me.  Of the two, I'd probably rate DPP a little higher on the quality of songs like TPATP and 7 days to the wolf alone.

They've played it 3 nights in a row now......    Wow....  sorry Annette, you just got owned.  Especially the last vocal section, In all the Annette youtube versions I've heard, she couldn't nail it.  Matter of fact... I think Annette took it down half an octave from the studio version on all the youtube clips I've seen.  Not a slam... Like we're discussing, I love both Annette's studio albums with the band. This better be on the DVD  :metal :metal :metal

Wow....  sorry Annette, you just got owned.

Uh...not to be mean or anything, but was this ever even in question?  I mean, Anette did a passable job on the album, but she is not even in the same league as Floor.  She just isn't.

I agree Bosky,   One of the biggest reasons I wanted Floor to do this song was because Annette just didn't it justice live IMHO.  I've maybe heard one very early live version from Annette that was halfway decent, but not on the same level as this Houston performance by Floor.  Now... Marco sounds like he struggled a bit on this particular one (Houston) during his vocals.  Can't wait to see (hopefully) a polished DVD version of this!

Poor Anette. I really do like her singing quite a lot. It's almost unfair that she'll forever be compared Floor, because, well, Floor is Floor.

She is a good singer, but she was not the right singer for this band.  The music requires a LOT from their lead singer, not only in terms of range, but also power, dynamics, and variety of style that Anette just does not possess to the degree necessary to do the music justice, at least in a live setting.

Look, I know Anette was inconsistent live to say the least, but her performance of Mother and Father section on the album itself is spot on. It's certainly on the level with Floor, as far as I concerned, and maybe even better. One of my favourite Nightwish moments.

Live performances is the whole another story though, I don't know who can compete with Floor here.

I don't see that at all.  I mean, I'm not getting into personal preference--she simply does not have the tools Floor has.  But if you see it differently...  :dunno:
