TPATP would be awesome, but I wouldn't count on it. I just hope Alpenglow makes it.

Yeah it would, as would Edema Ruh or Our Decades in the Sun.  I just think they should rest songs like Nemo and Amaranth, seeing they were just done with Showtime,Storytime.  Showcase some more back catalog with Floor.  Let's hope!

The Islander is definitely a highlight there for me. Pity there's no Edema Ruh, also pity that Amaranth made it, but otherwise it's a great setlist. I'm buying it as soon as it's available.

6 out of 17 songs are repeats from the recent DVD, Ghost Love Score gets its fourth pro shot version, Ever Dream gets its third. I think they're likely to swap some songs and record another one on the European part of the tour too, but I'm not sure.

I hope you're right!  Up to this point though, the only other songs that have been rotated in this tours list are Nemo and I Want My Tears Back.  Which have been recorded also.  So, hopefully we'll get something new in the upcoming shows!  I'd love for them to film something from my upcoming LA show.  The Greek Theater is an awesome outdoor venue!

;D Excellent! This is pretty much what I expected to see, I'm just glad that Alpenglow got in there!

Out of curiosity, does anyone know if Floor actually sings Amaranth? That's the one from Showtime, Storytime that most merits repeating, in my opinion, because the crowd sings half of the verses. Would be nice to get a version where Floor sings the whole thing.

Well, in the opening NY show, the audience did a lot of singing in that song IIRC.  Not sure about last night though.... off to youtube!

**EDIT...   I take it back... I watched NYC again and she sings it all

That's good, hopefully it's also true of last night's show. I get why they do that in the context of a live concert, but it's kind of annoying to be watching a DVD and have one of the songs be mostly sung by the audience.

I agree with this. Crowd participation is what I want from a live CD/DVD first and foremost. Well, aside from a good setlist, of course.

It can be cool, especially when you already have multiple live versions of the same song, but in this case I didn't really like it because it was the first release with the new singer and live releases are the only way we're going to hear her perform the songs from the back catalogue. If the crowd were to sing part of, say, Storytime on this DVD I wouldn't really mind (and might consider it to be pretty cool) because we already have a version of Storytime with Floor.

Well...this from The Bands FB page answers the question we were asking earlier regarding the setlist for the DVD.....

We had an endlessly most beautiful show in Vancouver yesterday which we immortalized for a future release. (A few other shows will be filmed for the same purpose) A big thanks to all of you who made the night so special! We are moving our vehicle of spirits for a few more weeks in the USA and we hope to welcome you to one of these shows!

I was at the Vancouver show, which was fantastic. There was no reliance on the crowd to sing any songs. Floor did all the work  ;) The DVD will be a perfect memento.

I wonder if that means they will go the Within Temptation route and release two shows on one DVD or they will use different songs from different venues to make one "full" show?  Either way, as long as it has all the new songs, then it seems likely other back catalogue songs have a chance to make it to the DVD.

I was kind of expecting them to film Wembley as well, since that seems like a big thing and a one off.

But "a few" suggests even more shows will be filmed, so my bet is on a mixed show (wouldn't this feel odd? I know it happens a lot that dvd shows are mixed, but often this is in the same venue/stage/festival spread across two evenings I think?).

Ideally they film and release several unique shows as a whole in a single package (or maybe release this one along with Wembley filmed and record seperate audio shows, I like it when audio live discs are from another show). But I am not sure how viable that is from a publishing point of view.

Yea, there's definitely a lot of room for flexibility if they record multiple shows.

I could be wrong, but when I saw the announcement, the first thing I thought was that the recording the other night will be the full main show on the release, and then they will have "bonus tracks" from other shows.

Enjoy, guys.  I think that is the perfect venue for them.  Big enough to let the majesty of their sound shine through, but small enough to still feel intimate.  Snap a few pics of yourselves rocking out if you remember.

Didn't think they'd play that long with two supporting bands. Time to make a playlist of the set and rock out some more. I saw you after the show ended and yelled Lonestar in the lobby.

Didn't hear a thing man, I was in my usual spot though. Pretty much any GA show at Warfield, I'll be in that spot.

Sabaton was comically awesome, such a fun band, and so cool of them to bring that kid up on stage.
