As I said in the PM, it's all good bro.

So, just got back to my hotel from the Nightwish show.

HOLY CRAP

Whatever energy they lost the last few times I saw them, they got back 10 fold. They were on fire and Floor was out of this world. I got a VIP package and got to meet the band and talk to them, super cool guys. I also got front row for the show and made almost too much eye contact with Empu and Marco. There was one moment where Empu was in front of us and showing how warm he was, so I pretended to blow cool air on him and he laughed and said thanks. Super awesome. The set was great too, with only one 2 complaints for the whole show.

1. Floor didn't do the lead vocals at the end of Amaranthe. Ah well.

2. They sound checked Ghost Love Score, so we all thought they were going to play it....and then they didn't.

So next show, you guys might just get Ghost Love Score.

Also, part of the show almost brought me to tears. They played Higher Than Hope and the family of the guy who the song is about was next to the stage and the mom was crying while floor sang directly to her. Just a beautiful moment I was honored to be there for.

That sucks about Ghost Love Score not being played, but maybe they felt they weren't ready yet.

Also, I like Floor, but her parents are assholes. Who names their kid Floor?

Lots of people name their kids after the place they were conceived.

Lots of people name their kids after the place they were conceived.

Floor is/used to be a pretty common name for girls in the Netherlands....internationally, not so good a choice!!

Sheesh, I stop following this thread for a short while and so much drama happens to Nightwish! However, I cmopletely agree with this statement:

Floor is my favourite female metal singer, and one of my favourite metal singers at all. If she became a permement member that would just be incredible. After Forever were fantastic but her current band ReVamp aren't so interesting.

Other than the distortion on the bass kick, that was f'n hawt.

Just a comment... whoever said Floor wasn't reading from lyric sheets, she clearly has some on the floor she refers to when necessary. Completely understandable, I'm not pointing it out in a bad way, just sayin.

Maybe its just me but I would find it extremely difficult to read a lyric sheet on the floor unless it was in very large print and then you'd need a lot of paper.

But they're not. At least not in San Diego they weren't, and that's where Higher Than Hope is from.

I'm telling you guys, I watched them set up the stage. There was nothing on the floor but the setlist.
