I don't see it, dude. It really makes no sense to be honest. They are playing in Cali and then on that cruise thing. From there, they head to Europe. I was thinking you might've been thinking about Georgia in Europe, but I checked their dates, and it is not there.

Georgia?
My thoughts exactly.
I saw them in Atlanta, and don't forget ProgPower is here, not some 'cooler' US locale.

There was previously a Georgia date as I recall, but it's Georgia, Europe--not Georgia, U.S.  And, yeah, there has been no word of a U.S. tour yet.  From the looks of it, they probably won't make it out here until Fall or early winder, or in 2013 (other than the Los Angeles date).

and as much as you are my brah, and we all need a little release, I'm pretty sure there's no way to remedy this situation without balls touching.

Don't worry, this album can't possibly keep you interested for that long.

Well from reading about Annette's poor performances and never seeing them live, assumptions are made.

I approve of that setlist because it has literally all of the songs I consider favorites at this early stage of my being a fan of these guys.
Sincerely,

Hi, despite the fact that I love the two Nightwish albums I own, I don't know much about the band. I know the names of like 3 of the people in the band. That brings me to this...who is Troy?

Troy Donockley is the man who played the Uilleann pipes and whistles on the last 2 or 3 albums. They are bringing him with on this tour as a guest.

Annette sounded a lot better on the older material than I expected, when I saw them on the DPP tour.  Definite down step from the albums, but it worked well enough since older material didn't dominate the set.

I am one of the few who really likes Annette's vocals on the old songs. She sings them very differently, but I like her version of it. I have a couple boots and I really like her on Ever Dream, the Siren, and Nemo.

Not alone, I agree. She sang Sacrament Of Wilderness better I think.

As much as I am a negative fan of the setlist, it's probably a good thing they're not doing much from their earlier albums. Fans' critical reaction to her ability to cover the older material have spoken. Maybe it is time for a change. I mean, hell, Geddy doesn't like playing anything from the first three RUSH albums, perhaps the first three albums of Nightwish should be held off for (dare I say) a reunion tour.

inb4 reunion tour will never happen.

I dont think its a good idea to ignore the early albums, they just need to find a couple songs that they enjoy playing with her and not listen to the critics, cant make everyone happy.

I though Anette sounded stellar singing all of the Tarja tunes, there wasn't one I thought she did bad. Obviously she didn't sing them as well as Tarja, but she did do a good job, and I think they should always divide the setlists evenly between all of the albums save for whatever album they're touring for (in this case, Imaginaerum) which is gonna get the most play time.

So it seems most if not all of the first show was shot by three professional videographers and its on youtube in hd... i was a few of the new songs and they are great. The club is small and theres no stage show so its very intimate setting and the band sounded great. It looks like Annette put on a few pounds.
